I have an error 74. That can't be fixed can it? I've searched the internet with no solution yet. I've tried multiple a/v cables. Still nothing works. Should I use it for target practice?

Slight lag in game once in a while, then a game freeze once in a while, then constant freezing, and then the dreaded red ring of death, now its in TX at repair center. and its only 4 months old.

O.K. My story begins summer 06. Boy wanted a 360 for Christmas, Dad says Sure Son! So I get to looking at 360 sites and forums and after looking at Price of Games decided a Flash was inevitable!
Fall of 06 purchase a SH-D162c and 111d and a few games. Made a few backups for the Future 360!
December 06 I Purchase a 360 Premium @ Best Buy. Stuffed 360 way back of closet so boy doesn't find his new console! 2 weeks before Christmas boy spends night off so out came the 360. I Very Carefully Remove Microsoft Chrome Seal with Hair Dryer and Small Tweezers. Now I Open the 360 case, I find a ver: 78 Hitachi so I download Maximus's Firmware toolbox, Flash Drive with ASUS A8N5X Mobo w/ onboard sata and NForce4 Chipset. Flash goes smooth, pop in backup, works good, re-assemble 360, put back in box with all accessories, wrap with Christmas wrapping paper and put under tree. Christmas Morning 360 is hooked up and Played for about 2-6 hours per day Until about 2 weeks Ago!!!!!
April 2th Three Red Lights Of Death Error code 0110
I Call M$, go through all the Stupid Trouble shooting procedures. Unplug everything, plug everything back in etc, etc, ect,........They give me a reference # and send a UPS Pre-Paid Postage Coffin for my 360!
Now I Carefully Re-Place the Chrome M$ Seal that I Removed with the Hair Dryer and Tweezers. Put 360 in coffin and drop off the Maximus Flashed ver: 78 Hitachi 360 at the UPS Store near my home on April 6th.....

Yeah, Got Lucky, I did at least 40-50hrs of Research on flashing and general 360 info before the purchase. I remembered the chrome sticker trick and thought $400 was a big investment. I honestly never thought I would be re-attaching that sticker but good thing I saved it, adhesive side up in an old jewelry box!
The funny thing is, the New Chrome Sticker has a big Black Dot on each side of the Microsoft Logo, I don't know what that Means, and I have never seen a seal like that before.
you were playing with fire lol i dont think they would just say we wont work on your 360 for tampering etc etc but i think people can get on a even more serious issue lol so you were lucked out, as for this thread, i bought my 360 back in nov when it had the le remote promo , i bought it when it bearly arrived @ costco , i'v had few issues in the past but up until recent days i would have flashing red lights with error code several times this week already so far its been working all sudden but im gonna return it once i buy the elite off costco if i get any more errors ill post it here with pix, oh i got freezing issues often glitching and other werid things that pop up in pgr 3 or somethnig that isnt sopose to be in there lol but yea games are flawless its the console _________________________________________________________ |FTP|Useful Links| softmod vs hardmod questions
Currently on my fifth 360 and no, I dont play it while it is standing. I cut out the back of my entertainment center to help vent. I keep everything clean and in tip top condition. However, all of my previous 360's started out good then three-four months later, 3 red lights. The last time, M$ told me that I would have to pay to have it repaired because my warrenty had expired 3 weeks prior. Now, unlike most I don't have a lot of money to throw around and I took the broken 360 to EB games, traded it in with a lot of my old games and took the in store credit to replace the broken 360 for a new one with the instore replacement policy. Costs extra but now if it breaks, I can go back to the store and get a new one, instead of a refurbished one. I love the games for the 360 and I have a lot of friends on my friends list. So I filed a complaint with M$ and with the BBB, now a week later the replacement warrenty has been extended another couple of years.....

I used my first 360 for one day and it was already getting getting disc read errors. I sent it to Microsoft and they put a new heatsink in and a new DVD drive (I'm pretty sure.) A week later my 360 is getting disc read errors again.
