The only error I have gotten is that the games sometimes get read as DVD. The 360 tells me to please put the disc in the 360 to play it. I have to restart it, sometimes a few times, before it reads it. Other then that everything works fine and this doesnt happen every time.

My step brother had one that stopped reading discs the same day he opened it up. He brought it to our parents yesterday and 3 out of 4 of the lights were red. After taking turns on hold we found out that was a hardware error and would have to be sent to M$. I think he is going to return it and get a 360 out of the next shipment. This really sucks for anyone that paid over $1,000 for one on ebay and wont have the luxury of returning the console!
On another note, he said Quake had 'choppy' graphics... Anyone else have issues with quake? _________________________________________________________ LED Rings $6 (doesnt include LEDs) LED ring pic

apparently the problem is when you keep the xbox on its side and not standing up i watched a report on it and when its on its side it generates alot more heat causing some game discs to accually melt!!!

Really? Ohh...F****. Back to the drawing board for Billy
Is the Xbox 360 silent or near enough (20 - 25db)? Billy Boy probably used low speed fans or something.

I encountered another issue. Friends list disappearing. Appanrebtly it happens when you mute someone in either forza or halo2. I muted someone in forza and when I got back to the 360 dash my friends list had disappeared. I tried to add a friend and it says "can not connect to XBL".
But I found a fix. Get a friend to remove you from their list and re-submit a friend request to that person. Log off while your friend accepts the request and when you log back in your entire friend list will re-appear. You have to be logged off for it to work.
As I understand it M$ has some info in a cache that can become corrupted, if you stay logged on then it reads your list from the cache and nothing works. If you log off it forces XBL to re-populate the list from its mainframe and everything re-appears.
Another way is to use one of your other XBL profiles and do the same, as you are logged off the profile in question when you accept the request in the later profile. _________________________________________________________ Xbox 360 #2
