If you look thru the articles their is also one about epic games that came out yesterday. If you read thru some of them you will come across a little tidbit that some customers of the Unreal 3 Engine are expressing concerns about how they are going to get it to run as well on the PS3 as it does on the Xbox 360.
Hummm seems like things are going to get real interesting when people finally get their hands on the PS3,,,,,,,,,,,Wonder what the stories are going to be then? ,,,,, Especially when sitting next to a 360 with the same game running _________________________________________________________

Sony console have alweays been difficult to program on (according to the developers, i have no experiance myself).
It won't be until third or fourth generation titles that we will start to see what the PS3 can do with graphics, but by then the 360 will be being pushed to the limits by developers as well.
As most gamers will say it's not about graphics but game play (a quick game on xbox live anyone ) _________________________________________________________

I'm really not one for slating a system before its out and i've had time to play around with it myself, but does anyone happen to remember the Unreal game that came out on the Xbox? Holly crap that was terrible, good game an all but the frame rate drops where all to regular making it a really crappy game to play.
So i'm hoping Unreal 2007 will play a damn sight better than that one. _________________________________________________________ JAy3k1

Well now it seems Sony is trying to recoup some of their losses by going after a company who sold modded PSPs. But the big difference here is that I don't see anywhere that they were selling the hardware with games installed,,,,,,just the fact that it was modified hardware. The only way I see this as a problem is if the company was paying wholesale prices for the PSPs and not retail, otherwise a company should not have any leagal rights to stop you from toying with something that you buy.
I don't know but I guess this should have been a new topic
Oh yea,,, I think Sony was awarded $9 million for this case. _________________________________________________________

I know about a similar story Turn2:
Quote:
The ESA, the video game industry's trade body, has announced that a federal court in California has ordered defendants to pay in excess of $9 million in damages for Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) violations, including trafficking of mod chips and a device called HDLoader, which allows copies of games to be downloaded directly onto the hard drive of a game console [PS2].
The ESA reports that the ruling came down on September 11 from Judge Claudia Wilken of the U.S. District Court in Northern District of California. Judge Wilken awarded $3,750,200.00 in damages against corporate defendant Divineo, Inc., and Canadian resident Frederic L. She also awarded $5,791,400.00 in damages against corporate defendants Divineo U.K. and Divineo SARL, and French resident Max L.
But it does kind of fall over due to the fact the company is not based in or operates in the U.S. So do any moneys actually get awarded or is this a cunning publicity stunt? _________________________________________________________ JAy3k1

Since the beginning when xbox annouced the xbox 360 i have always stuck to my guns and said that ps3 will not compare.. The main reason for my decision on that was because i know that sony will never compare to xbox live.
They just do not have the industry experience especially with ground breaking gaming technology and experience with server farms etc etc which are required to run such a large gaming network.
Sure they have bluetooth and all their other things but when it comes to gaming online and the best hardware M$ have done taken the cake..
Also, just to add.. When the PS3 DEV KITS were released there was nothing but complaints from developers on how they were going to produce games.. Obviously something is wrong if that is happening..
