To start I have no desire to play multiplayer games, in fact i really dislike them.
I love a good FPS game where I can lose myself in the story, forget about real life and not have to bother about anyone else and there idedas, actions etc.
It always relaxes and recharges me.
But nowadays the game companies are all concentrating on online multiplayer at the expense of a good campaign mode, in fact with games like titanfall you dont even get an offline mode. They are not interested in probably half their possible customers.
It seems a lot of it is pure money driven, the titanfall developers actually say it was cheaper and easier to make the game multiplayer than have a good campaign mode.
I cannot be the only person who likes to use video games as a form of escapism where I dont have to worry about other people and having to interact with them. I do enough of that in REAL life.
Or is that today people can only interact via their computers and consoles, and playing multiplayer games is the only way they have of interacting with others and making acquaintances.
So to game devs, please understand not everyone is into this online multplayer thing. I have no intention of buying or playing Titanfall with no offline campaign, and I bet i'm not the only one.

I absolutely agree with the subject of your post. If you take N64 games like goldeneye64, perfect dark. They had great multiplayer, but their single player modes were innovative, challenging not to mention fun as well.
Someone else on another gaming forum said the reason for the decline in single player mode quality may be due those who download games for free.
Imagine you're a developer of an FPS. You know it's inevitable someone in the world will find a free copy of your game online. When they do, one can enjoy all the hard work your team put into single player mode's story without paying for the game.
On the other hand if you invest time and resources in multiplayer aspects of your game the person will likely want to play online with an unmodded console and thus need a physical or legit copy of the game which had to have been purchased at some point.
Now when people do download the game for free online they will still get single player, but will now be of less quality. Unless they already have lots of local friends or know how to find loads of people on kai or linkjqe360s hosted lobbies then they'll probably not enjoy the game as much.
Not saying that I know this for sure, but this seems like a reasonable explanation for the current lack of quality single player in FPS titles today.

You dont have to go that far, BF3 had an amazing single player but with the success and money earned by its multilayer the single player campaign in BF4 is joke _________________________________________________________

I can't speak to BF3 Splinter. I haven't played it yet. My opinion is mostly based on the halo campaigns after the first installment, which was unique and groundbreaking at its release.
I think shooters need to evolve to the point where players can design their own levels, upload them to xbox live etc so that others may enjoy and/or modify them.
So far the only people that do this on a fun scale that I know of are PC emulation players of Goldeneye64 who create their own levels. Their process is tedious and requires knowledge of where to place polygons for floor tiles etc. There are players who make some mods of Halo levels from what I know too, but not brand new fan made levels.
Still understand why all shooters don't have level creation as being mainstream for consoles yet.
