I like this version of sharing of games that currently is not possible on any current consoles. It's things like this that will make the xbox one shine. Yes there are some legitimate issues I think MS needs to address and be more gamer friendly about but this is not one of them.
"It’s a “family” affair
Since its announcement, there has been some confusion over the details of sharing your Xbox One game library with up to ten "family members." Mehdi couldn't give comprehensive details, but he did clarify some things.
For one, a family member doesn't have to be a "blood relative," he said, eliminating the extremely unlikely possibility that the Xbox One would include a built-in blood testing kit. For another, they don't have to live in the primary owner's house—I could name a friend that lives 3,000 miles away as one of my "family members" Mehdi said.
You'll be able to link other Xbox Live accounts as having shared access to your library when you first set up a system and will also be able to add them later on (though specific details of how you manage these relationships is still not being discussed). The only limitation, it seems, is that only one person can be playing the shared copy of a single game at any given time. All in all, this does sound like a pretty convenient feature that's more workable than simply passing discs around amongst friends who are actually in your area." _________________________________________________________ 10% VIP Discount (Coupon Code: HQ-VIP-001 ) - Signup for web hosting at www.TweakedHosting.com/clients/aff.php?aff=004 and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!
its a better way to share for sure, imagine sharing an hd dvd or bluray disc with your family and their kids? i wonder if it will play right after the tenth family member gave it back.
its actually more sharing than the other way because most people are reluctant to share their optical media now with anyone.
im wondering how much the kinect will play into this though, will x1 work if its kinect is pointing at the wall? or tape covering the camera? id be worried if the camera required to see you playing. the reason i added kinect to this thread is im wondering if 4 people are in the room do they all count towards the tally of family members? of course they will say the kinect needs to see the game controller for game related reasons.

Those are some interesting questions, seriouslycgi1. It sure does bring up more questions than answers. Maybe the people that are playing in a certain game together, you know using Kinect at the same time, don't have to be part of the shared list. I would hope that MS is taking into account that you could have all sorts of random friends and family over for party nights just to play together and have fun.
It's seems that the shared thing is more of an individual thing where up to 10 people around the world, that you select, can use your game and it does say something like only 1 instance of the game at a time. So in other words, 10 people from other locations can not actually use your game if 1 of them is using it or if you are using it.
I think this is a great shared option to have yet maybe MS will expand on it over time. It would sort of stink if someone you allowed was using your game but you wanted use it and you can't because they are using it. Maybe you can boot them lol. We'll see how this unfolds. _________________________________________________________ 10% VIP Discount (Coupon Code: HQ-VIP-001 ) - Signup for web hosting at www.TweakedHosting.com/clients/aff.php?aff=004 and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!
