I really would rather not see a switch to the cloud. I like having my data stored locally. It's less stress on our network infrastructure, and if I can use the data are not is up to me. When the data is in the cloud, I'm relying on other people to keep their servers working correctly so that I can play my games.
The only thing cloud related I support is services like dropbox. It's nice to be able to put a file for school on my flash and on dropbox just in case I lose my flash drive. Beyond that, I want nothing to do with the cloud. _________________________________________________________

That's fine and I hear what you are saying about your idea of the cloud but you use 'the cloud' whether you want to or not or at least you will once you get involved in business, even many banks are cloud based.
If the cloud was so bad then why do many well to do companies run their business on it and totally depend on it? These are the clients I'll be targeting once my cloud compute service is public. Yes the cloud for the consumer is really a different animal and most consumers have no way to understand it either. They only think it is about sticking some backups or pictures somewhere outside their home computer and you guys did bring up a very valid point about how consumer internet connections are just plain crap overall.
Ok on the gaming downloads. There are pros and cons with everything. Your hard copy can get baked in the sun or get scratch. Then what?
One good thing about the downloads is that you can always get it again after you purchase it without purchasing it again. Don't have space now? so delete it. The game saves can be kept. Want to play it some time later? download it again
I do like hard copies and I do like downloading too.

I'd rather see the ability to buy the physical disk, and then register the disk on your account so that if you lost the disk or broke it, you could download the game. Blizzard does this with their old games and it's great.
But forcing me to use digital games only doesn't sit well with me. I like having a physical copy of a game. _________________________________________________________

Xbox One will be like, you can buy a physical disk. The only difernece from 360 is that you have to install it on the HDD _________________________________________________________

Back on the topic of internet or not. 90% (just a guess) of the world has access to at least 56k dialup. Everyone can still play xbox one games. 56k can more than handle a 1 every 24hr check in or even the 1 hr check in if you are playing your games at a friends house. This point is mute. _________________________________________________________ 10% VIP Discount (Coupon Code: HQ-VIP-001 ) - Signup for web hosting at www.TweakedHosting.com/clients/aff.php?aff=004 and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!
its early at this point but what if you do go for it on 56k and they decide you need faster or the games just wont work right? thats a lot of fussing around for game devs. some games will now have internet speed requirements ill bet, consumers will have to really read the fine print on this system or they will be buying games they cant use. no rentals means you cant try before you buy.
ps4 games isle will be people walking through grabbing the game they want to play, x1 will be a bunch of people reading the backs of the games to see if they are allowed to play it lol

they recommend 1500k or something like that but I was just saying just to keep an abox one working and play some game would only take a 56k connection. Now it is practically pointless to try to run an xbox one with a 56k connection because most of the features would not work. So yeah, Microsoft is pretty much excluding some people out of the the xbox one because of internet.
That can be seen as a negative or the price of advancing technology. That's why I said before that it may be too soon for these requirements such as the once every 24 hr connection. The point ain't mute like I said before lol _________________________________________________________ 10% VIP Discount (Coupon Code: HQ-VIP-001 ) - Signup for web hosting at www.TweakedHosting.com/clients/aff.php?aff=004 and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!
