As reported by GamingBolt yesterday, DICE's Patrick Bach stated that the “Frostbite 3 engine is not only about high-end. It’s also about workflows. So it’s easier for us to optimize and create better experiences on consoles, due to the fact we’re pushing the bar and simplifying and creating easier ways for the developers to build the games in general.”

“30 or 60 frames per second on consoles is a discussion on fidelity, still. What is most important right now? Are you willing to cut down on features to get it to run? If you remove destruction and vehicles of course we could increase the frame-rate.”
“It’s a balance. I would never sacrifice the core Battlefield experience to get higher frame-rate. But then again, higher frame-rate is something positive. So, we’ll see what happens.”
For those of you that are interested, you can take a look at a few screenshots taken from “Battlefield 4” in the slideshow above this article.

Thank for this info Forafobby. I'm starting to see that it really is time for the new game consoles. But like I said before, when it comes down to it, the developers will find ways to squeeze out some more juice out the the game consoles. They always do near the end-of-life of a game machine. Still, now I'm getting hungry for a leap forward with the new PS4 and xbox 720 _________________________________________________________ 10% VIP Discount (Coupon Code: HQ-VIP-001 ) - Signup for web hosting at www.TweakedHosting.com/clients/aff.php?aff=004 and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!
