Sorry for all the bother but what hardware mod? Im lost i guess im going to have to do alot of reserch and go from there ill just start with a case mod thanks again for the help

You gonna need to install a "enable write" switch on your drive, but first start by opening your xbox, then check the label on your xbox dvd drive and tell us which version you have.

Open Xbox Slim Arrow http://www.360-hq.com/xbox-tutorials-170.html

You also need to know what firmware version the drive has. It will be either 0225, 0401, 1701, 0272 or 9504, there may be others?
If you have FW version 0401, you will need to buy a replacement PCB board from team executer, as you cannot write the new firmware to those dvd drives without messing with the hardware.
Not sure about the other versions.

Hello?

Next time write new post insted of updated it.

@Div as for the rest only the 0272 and 9504 can be written, the rest need a replacement PCB.
after dashboard update (13146) all slim 9504 liteons are now stock 0272 fw –
after dashboard update (13599) 0272 are now locked

So if your dash 13599 or later no matter the version you will need a replacement PCB

You can check the dashboard version in the settings when you turn the xbox on.
Once you buy the board, you have to program it. To do that you have to buy some other equipment first to get the firmware off your current dvd to alter it before flashing the board, not sure of the overall cost.

To be 'live safe' you have to take other considerations into account. The quality of the ripped game, how you burn it and the disks you use.

If you are not going to go on live, forget flashing it and pay someone to fully hack it, Reset Glitch Hack (RGH).

Turn on your console, go to setting - console setting - sistem info

Either way you dont need a pcb, only a switch
