Thanks for the feedback guys, I can see how the page acceleration is helping too. Wasn't sure if t would help but I can see it working by watching the server logs. The multi-threading is handled differently as well and was a big gamble based on what I read but with some web server adjustments it seems to all be working quite well. The gzip is helping more things to happen is the same or less data transfer. I think we have a well balanced flow now. Already looking ahead in case of increased traffic. ... and I think with the faster speed of the HQ sites, the search engines will rank the sites higher and send even more traffic. We'll find out if that s the case. getting there man, i know both tweaked and me are working hard to keep the HQ's online.. Hope we get more HQ gamertags soon.. Maybe i have to start a competition for HQ gamertags only.. Like a free game or something.

thx again for putting in the hard yards.. I myself have been tweaking 360-HQ mainly since xbox-hq is more of an archive site now and not exactly that active.
As you know I have big (secret) plans for next year but Im finding it difficult to get the site ready in my spare time for the upgrade.. Its gonna be bloody interesting condiering im doing alot of other work and still got to go to hospital next year.
anyway, i appreciate your efforts man, and i know all the other HQ guys and girls do as well.
Now i just need to code the rest of our features like a gaming calendar, and more clan and profile features etc.

Will do, like on The Elder Scrolls coming out Nov 11, it runs a new game engine and is supposed to be incredible, I'll submit something on it later.
So people, please let us know if you see any hiccups on the sites for speed, loading whatever. Also the time it happened may be useful as well.

Site speed has been amazing the past few days.. Page size for the homepage with GZIP is now something like 50kb compared to 600kb.. We have had the biggest month ever, and hopefully one of the biggest days too..
I don't know what you did but it really made a huge improvement to everything.. I am going to tweak xbox-hq.com soon, thanks again mate and let us know if you think there is something more i can do.
I will be tweaking 360-hq too again soon, but i dont have time to upgrade like i had planned.. i guess i will have to put that on the back burner.
