Hey man, just letting ya'll know the new hacked dashboard works.
Hey LF,
Glad to hear you got your upgrade working.. thx for the msg on skype..
Any chance of a small tutorial on the exact steps you took?
Are you still happy you upgraded?
Yeah! I plan to write one up soon since I guarentee the average person with a JTAG wouldn't know what to do since the proceedure requires other applications that aren't mentioned to get your keyvault, smc_config, etc. Also, yes I sure am happy I upgraded, anytime I want my old dashboard I just load up the FreeStyle Dash and the dash skin is near identical. _________________________________________________________

Hey Leng.Fire I had the same problem finding it, Now there is a dashlauncher 2.04
You can get it in 2 places, xbox 360 ---> Dashboards ---> xexmenu, or xbox 360 ---> development ---> xbreboot ---> patches
Is this really Kinect ready? _________________________________________________________

Yeah man took me a while aswell! I ended up finding it in System Tools I think it was! And yep, Kinect ready this dashboard is! If I remember right you need to update your Xbox 360 JTAG with the legit update AFTER you already applied the modified version for your JTAG. _________________________________________________________

Here's the full details for easy freeboot, and a couple of links for the zips
You will need a working nand image for your jtag and your cpu key.
You can get a nand backup using FSD or flash360.
And your CPU key by booting into XeLLous and telling this program to get the key.
Procedure:
1 ? run the software
2 ? Select your nand
3 ? Check your CPU key
4 ? Wait for the creation
5 ? Place the image on your USB drive
6 ? Flash
7 ? Enjoy!
.
getting avatar/ Kinect support.
1. Download 12611 update
Download:

2. Copy the contents of the .zip file to the root directory of your flash drive.
3. Unplug the USB flash drive from your computer.
4. Plug the flash drive into a USB port on your Xbox 360 console.

I did a full nand dump, but can you do a partial?
I had a bad block and was worried i couldn't do the upgrade. I read that if you do a partial nand dump and you have no bad blocks then you are ok (even if you do a full dump and there are errors later on). If the errors are between 0-50 then you need to reallocate the bad blocks.
Not sure on reallocating as i never did it (i had a bad block at 59D) and i upgraded to the new dash fine.
Can someone confirm the bad block stuff i mentioned as i wouldn't take my word for gospel? _________________________________________________________ Opinions are like arse holes, everybody has one and your's stinks.

Always do a full NAND dump for backup. Keep making NAND dumps until you have 3 matching ones. You can use a hex editor like HxD to compare a NAND with another. _________________________________________________________
