Yeah I read about these in the news article you posted they look really good, but I don't think I'll be trading in my Logitech Z-5500s on these just yet, they seem about the same quality, this of course being slightly better.
But when you can get the speakers I have for around $200 vs these at around $400 there's quite a difference, and I don't know it would be enough to notice. It does have 95 more watts than my system (505 for mine 600 for this set) It has 2 optical inputs, that would help if you had more than 1 which I don't.
This set of speakers aren't available for about a month is why you can't find them just yet. They look really good, have a great auto calibration feature, and a few more features that I don't have.
One thing I noticed that is the same is that the actual audio amplification and outputs seems to be built into the subwoofer, with the 360 looking control panel being just a place to put your inputs and controll the volume and such.
This also has a AM/FM tuner which might take the place of a full home theatre type reciever, for the quality of this set I would definitely recommend it, but if you are strapped for cash I would recommend the logitech system I mentioned above, I'm a firm believer in most everything they make. _________________________________________________________
