Alright, so I'm going to swap my disc drives. I understand I need to inject the key or spoof them or whatever this method is. I've seen the tutorial, but I don't know where to find the programs needed. Not only this, but my computer is running on Ubuntu. Ubuntu is a Linux operating system for those who don't know. Would the programs needed work on Ubuntu?
Also, one drive is Philips and BenQ and the other is Toshiba Samsung. This won't be a problem, right?

I've never seen anyone use linux before to flash a drive. I don't even know if it's possible, since most programs are written for windows. _________________________________________________________

Maybe I'll be the first
Just kidding, I don't know what I'm doing.
I haven't tried it on windows 7 yet, but I'd imagine it would work just fine. XP is the best for flashing as far as I know. _________________________________________________________

I am running Ubuntu too, but the PC I use to flash is on XP.
Well maybe Wine could do the job, If it runs JungleFlasher 100%, if you start it via root you may be able to flash it.
If it reads the fw correctly it will flash it correctly. _________________________________________________________

I've had a lot of problems with Wine in the past. I would be running w7 but my ethernet card seems to not comply with it. Yesterday, I ordered a new ethernet card that is associated with Microsoft. Hopefully, this will allow w7 to work so I can finally run some .exe's. This is, of course, assuming the swapping the keys will work with w7.
