Hi,

I watched a excellent aussie horror/thriller (god knows) movie the other night named 'wolf creek'.. Now im not sure if it will have the same name or even be released in USA but if you can find it you will think very differently about aussies.. lol

Its actually based on true events and some of australia's most recent backpacker murders.

Some hilarious aussie humour goes with slaying backpackers in the center of australia's largest desert.. My god.. What a show.. Ive never laughed and then been shocked so much since CHOPPER..

just thought id share.. Ill try to find some images and other info about the movie too. If you liked the MOVIE named CHOPPER (chopper reid) you will love this one too.

I watched this movie at the cinema when it came out, and I have to admit that it's on borderline with me.

I LOVE my horror movies, the better the storyline and the more dead bodies the better. It wasn't too bad, meaning it's worth watching at least once, but I dont think it's a movie I'd be adding to my DVD collection.

Honestly I dont think I've seen a really decent Australian Horror film, we just dont seem to cut it too well. I've seen a few good Thriller / Drama (for example Romper Stomper), and ofcourse Chopper is also a classic (probably one of my most favourite Australian films), but nothing I'd class as a good slasher film.

Just my two cents on it.. So, check out "Wolf Creek" as you might like it more than me, it doesnt suck too badly, it's just that I have a really high standard for horror movies.

It's definately worth checking out. The actual storyline is quite good (probably the strongest part of the movie), but overall I think the story could have been delivered better to the screen.

It's definately a big improvment on another Australian Horror film called "Cut" which was done a few years ago (coolest part was Kylie Minogue getting killed first in her little cameo hehe!)

For some reason, the Australian / UK Horror films just dont seem to have the spark of the US ones, even though the plot / storyline etc is really really good. Possibly due to smaller budgets you think.

Theres no doubt its due to the smaller budgets that bring these films down. Laughing
