I have an broken 360 Which has the chrome effect trim on the disc drawer, is it possible to get this bit off without taking the whole rom out as i want to swap with my new 360's trim which is the normal white one

Underneath the chrome bit are 2 catches that hold it on. Get a knife (like the one in Rambo or Crocodile Dundee) and ease it off from them 2 points. As for the eject button, it is easier to get it off by removing the bottom of the case, but it is possible to do it without voiding the warranty (taking the case apart).
Here is a link, not sure if there is a tut on hq???

Cheers for that Div, and for the link. So much easier to see it being done step by step! I will try it on my old box first to see how i get on as it is completley Knackered (eth port & no pic)??
