so i read the warnings and made sure to start my xbox log on to live first then insert the game. well while i was playing i was messing with the music menu and accidently picked my profile. next thing i know its says logging onto xbox live. so i knew i was screwed and sure enough when i went back to the games selection screen no outfits were unlocked. so i shut it down went back to the dash and all my saves are intact and it says nothing of an error. but when i try to play halo it wont' let me online anymore and when i play PGR it logs on to live and gives me all the gothom tv info but i just can't play anyone online. it says "a profile you've selected cannot join" or something like that, i've tried to recover my gamertag and had no luck still. my 1 month gold service just expired also could that be a factor?
hey i'm still a fan of the xbox but this bull is really starting to piss me off errors in games, lagging online and now screwing my system up.
If your gold membership expired then you cannot play games on line, but you should be able to browse most online content................you now have a silver membership. Upgrading to gold should fix your problems. The DOA bug only deletes your unlocked characters and costumes and shouldnt affect anything online.

i wasn't aware of that i thought you were only not allowed to play ranked games, so your tellin me if i wanna play halo 2 online i have to have gold service

Yup, that's the main difference between gold and silver, online play. Pretty much everything else you can do with silver, voice chat, achievements, friends list, etc. _________________________________________________________

the achievements feature alone is so cool especially for free on the silver LIVE.. Gold is just the cream of the crop with online gaming too.

Uhuh Yeh, Online play is sweet on PGR3 and COD2 but the other game I tried online was too lagggy (DOA4). I wouldn't go without gold.
