The disk changer would have to be powered by an outside source most likely. Then you would need to mod it so that it has a Sata port on it. Then you would need to change the small ide cable going from the xbox laser so that it works. You would somehow have to make a firmware chip on it. Its just not worth it.

what would you need a firmware chip for if you are using the pieces from an original 360 dvd-rom drive? just make the 2 cables longer or get them fom somewhere, and mod the case of the changer so they could plug in.. altho it may not be worth it, to me it would just be the fact of if it could be done or not..

wouldn't that be where swaping the changer drive internals with the 360 drive internals come in play?...and i dont think anything is unhackable, just more difficult to do...just a new challenge for "hackers" lol

hmmm, I didn't realize that the firmware was a chip and that the dvd drive on the 360 is basically chipped to the mb. Now I see the problem. Well shoot, it sounded sweet to me. Who knows maybe in a year or so w/ technology and everything maybe this idea might be easier down the road. After all, I remember not too long ago, it was nearly impossible to play xbox live on your xbox after you were banned, my how things change. Oh well, back to the drawing board. Thank you all of you for your input.

Cheers. Cool
