Does anyone know if the 360 can read external drives formatted w/NTFS? I really don't want to have to find a copy of Partition Magic just to format a 200 gig drive in FAT... _________________________________________________________ Noli nothis permittere te terere.

Have just got my USB HDD to work on my 360, had to be FAT not NTFS and also had to be set as a primary drive not a logical drive.

Back again.. lol
Just a quick question for anyone reading.
Does it matter which USB External HDD you buy??
Can all USB HDD's be reformatted so that the xbox 360 can use it?
With the most recent updates im thinking of purchasing a External Drive from my 360 so i can watch all my divx/xvid movies without having to stream them from my pc all the time.
If you have a USB HDD that works could you please reply with what brand and size it is.. It would be useful info for others looking to do the same.
UPDATE:
Ill just answer my own question i think.. lol
You can reformat just about any External USB hdd with a program called "MacDrive" (http://www.mediafour.com/products/macdrive/)
Here's some info for all Xbox 360 owners:
MacDrive will format any External HDD drive into the HFS+ Format and enable it
to be used on the XBOX 360 for HD WMV files of any size. No longer is there a
4GB file size limit like FAT32.
This app is great. I currently use it on a Seagate 320GB External HDD which i connect to my 360 via USB for HD content playback
The MACDrive software will re-format any USB Harddrive to a HFS partition which can be read by the xbox 360.
