ive done 2 now. the method i am using is using 8 M5 .80x10 machine screws with 4 washers (2 on the outside of the board and 2 on the inside of the board, and 1 is metal and 1 is nylon). 1 repair has been totally sucessfull, but the other hasnt, and the only difference is that I used a different machine screw on the 2nd and i was wondering if that was the problem (which i dont think is), but i wanted to ask you guys.

on the box that the repair didnt work i used a M5 .80x12 instead of M5 .80x10 (so there is an extra 2mm on the screw), but the screws screw up to the heatsink is why i didnt think it would make a difference.

any ideas are welcome.

Ran into the SAME incident I came up with. I was thing about cutting of the extra 2mm because the lowes came up with a short of screws and I had to get those.

But I never messed with it, so ever thing is still holding up on mine, what else have you might done to it joho?

thats not especially made for the 360, its just a package of parts that someone has put together. it still boils down to machine screws and washers.
