Holy cow, just read an article on Kill Zone 2, for the ps3,
They say they have so much detail in this game that each level alone will take up to 2 gigs of disc space. And the detail is so high that the ammount of Polygons just in the face of a character of Killzone 2 is more than the total Polygons in and entire level in Killzone 1, I have not played nore do I know much about ither game but holy crap!
Do to the high ammount of detail they said the game will run at 30fps and 720p max. If they are already putting that much into a game looks like ps3 is going to need an upgrade already, maybe a PS3.5 with beefed up processors and power unit.
I know most people here are not PS3 fans but thats not why I like this story, I read previously programers were hesitant to program for blu-ray because of the ammount of work required and it is more complicated, Im glad to hear developers and continuing to push games to thier limit. This means good things to come for everyone no matter what unit you play on.

Sounds to me like they just got lazy and didnt compress any of their game data.. lol
They just keep on pushing this size shit.. How about they bring out a good game instead of all this talk.. Not one ps3 owner i know can show me a decent game to wow me.. Not one.. _________________________________________________________ HQ Network:

Good info! I like to know stuff like this.
But guess what, you can take the new compression that hd-dvd has (forget it's name) and fit all that on a hd-dvd disk and it will be faster to load on HD-DVd than it would be on Blueray.
...except they are not doing HD-DVD 360 games. But I am pretty sure that you can do a similar compression in real-time on 360 DVD format and have close to the data that blueray can have and still load faster. We won't be running out of space on our 360 disks anytime soon. _________________________________________________________ 10% VIP Discount (Coupon Code: HQ-VIP-001 ) - Signup for web hosting at www.TweakedHosting.com/clients/aff.php?aff=004 and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!

ive never really cared for the ps3 even with all the problems i have with a 360 i still rather have a broken 360 then a working ps3 ha all these great games 360 has out and are coming out and of course bioshock that game is the shiznat.
I played my nitendo 64 before i would play ps1 or ps2 back in the day even dreamcast lmao I wonder if Sega would come out with a great system in the future too just like nitendo did with the wii.
But enough blabber im going to try geting my 360 a few upgrades was thinking of extending the fan duct a little further going all the way to the front of the 360 and then turning to the xcm add on fan and using a amp fan cover so when i cut the hole for more air flow into the 360 with the add on fan pushing it in. Going to conect a big enough hose from the fan to the top of the case were the amp fan duct will be and that. Will turn out pretty cool when done im thinking. I cant afford to go water cool and plus thats pretty bulky stuff to have.
O ya forgot to mention i have told many people before specially ps2 owners before xbox was ready to release that it was going to blow ps2 away and they are all going to have one, they thought i was nuts but guess what They all own one. _________________________________________________________ The one the only Scarface!!

I think its ok to have and like a PS3. Nothing wrong with that. It just isn't as great as all the hype about it. It clearly is no better than the 360. I was right that the power would equal out mainly because of the configuration of the PS3 RAM and the slow speed of Blueray.
Any way if I didn't want an Elite 360 when the new small CPU come out I would get a PS3. Maybe latter after I have the Elite 360, I'll eventually get a PS3 but hopefully at a lower price.
I see you mentioned Bioshock. OK I guess I will try the demo. I'll see what all the buz is.
Oh man I miss the Dreamcast. I still have it and maybe I'll set it up again just for fun.
Killzone should still be a killer app and if I get a PS3 it may be the only game that looks interesting. Whatever. _________________________________________________________ 10% VIP Discount (Coupon Code: HQ-VIP-001 ) - Signup for web hosting at www.TweakedHosting.com/clients/aff.php?aff=004 and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!
