well honestly thats about the longest ive seen a thread run without a shark attack of pointless drivel. congratulations for restraining yourself that long... Very Happy i guess we all like you anyway, you seem to keep the mood fun and happy here despite all the poor noobs with all their frustrations and easy mistakes. at least you stay consistent with the image, a shark cannot sit idle, it must keep swimming or die.

anyway, to answer the topic-related question... you can use either of the 12v spots for any device. you can hook one device to each. just dont hook one device to both 12v sources. feel free to run all devices ground to the same spot... all ground is equal.

Perfect. Thanks Aweirdguy, you have answered all my questions and made me feel also more secure about doing these mods. I know i sound like a noob, and as far as electronics is concerned i guess i am, as far as "noob-hood" goes, that's about it, but i do agree, it is easy to make mistakes if you don't know what you're doind, and with guys like you in here, it makes it all the better.

Thanks for all the help

Pred

I just about fell out of my seat laughing with this quote. I did apologize but the molex thing just kept pecking at me. I told you I had nothing to add. But damn that's funny as hell!! I did try to restrain from derailing the thread as I am so famous for doing. Forhobby has warned me before but ol' sharks have a hard time changing their ways.
Again, I sincerely apologize.

Actually there are much better spots to get 12v sources from, i wouldnt advise using the dvd drive, use the spot underneath the power supply plug in
