Hi ,I recentIy took delivery of above modchip and and performed all the mods as per the Weblink ,
After perforiming all the 6 mods mods and powering up , the XBox 360 does not boot correctly. Initially I was getting (error 7 - I think, and a flashing red led on bottom of led panel .
I disassembled the box again and rechecked my modications and all are as per the WEB,
1) --A from FLASH device on Samsung drive.
2) Vdd/GND from points on Drive - measured with voltmeter =5.04V.
3) ---I from Samsung Drive
4)-- X from rear of Pewer-LED indicator
5) -- Y from position R1C1 on motherboard.
-- note mod for Y shows resistor in location R1C1 position - my motherboard has no component in location R1C1.
In addition, I've taken all steps using an ESD strap to prevent ESD damage.
After total frustation and multiple checks - The same thing happened everytime I powered up the console - the 4 lights flash green for an instant and then a red flashing led in the bottom section remains indefinitely.
I removed the entire set of mods and tried to revert to original setup - unfortunately this didn't suceed- the system powers up ok with the usual led activity
(Grred leds) and seems ok . However there are no graphics emanating form BOX - audio is fine, and games will load based on the audio feedback from TV.
Where too from here? I've got 2 very upset kids and a very frustrated DAD here with a non-functional XBOX360.
Can anyone explain what each mod does in more detail? I've got access to high speed oscilloscopes and could check for signals at various points.
I haven't cut any tracks within cons0le, I presume this is correct- though I fail to understand how the XC95144 pld does its job- is it possible to verify the operation of this part- I presume there is an input from console and output to console- I presume the output is an open drain type or equivalent to facilitate connection in parallel with existing circuit.- the omisssion of R1C1 from my motherboard has me suspicious as it looks like a pullup - usually used for open drain circuits in parallel.
Anyway I need to know how to resurrect my console and verify that the modchip is fucntional
Any advice much appreciated .
