BEAUTIFUL SPLINTER CELL CONVICTION SNEEK PEAK

BEAUTIFUL SPLINTER CELL CONVICTION SNEEK PEAK

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction looks as if it is shaping up to be one of the great games of 2010. Below is a commented Walk through of the beginning mission of the new Sam Fisher adventure. In this installment Sam is on a personal quest to find the killer of his daughter.

The video starts out in a grimy mens room where Sam begins his interrogation on one of the thugs that will lead him to the man responsible for his daughters death.

Things to note in the video below....

The new Projection system that will show projected images of memories and game text in real time, projected directly on the surrounding environment. Sams/players total control of just how you will go about your interrogation an the bad guys.

Notice the seamless transition from the bathroom scene to the next level in the city. It is a very smooth and cinematic transition, lets hope all the cuts between levels are as such.

The new "MARK AND EXECUTE" system. you can mark your enemies then when the timing is right, give Sam the OK to execute the attack on his own, or you can go it manually.

Listen for the Cat at 3:19, its the little things that make games great!

New Magnetic Pulse grenade that can take out all the lights in a room at once.

A new "WHITE SILHOUETTE" system will show a ghost image of where you were seen last by any living enemy, this will give you an idea where they will converge in an effort to get to you. Allowing you to set up in the best position for an ambush if you so wish.

Looks like the snake cam has been replaced with what looks like either a mirror to look under the door or some type of new Tech that lets you look through solid doors.

Sams night vision goggles are not in this video but I believe they will be used in the game. In this scene Sam gets caught by the government, Perhaps he gets the gear from them later in the game.

Xbox 360 Primes Every Passion With Games That Rock, Race and Sizzle

Microsoft unveils "Forza Motorsport 3", "Halo: Reach", "Crackdown 2", "Shadow Complex", and "Alan Wake" on Xbox 360

LOS ANGELES — June 1, 2009 — Rock out. Duck and cover. Shift into overdrive. On the eve of the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Microsoft Corp. today made it perfectly clear: No matter who you are or what games you crave, Xbox 360 is the only gaming and entertainment console for you.

At a time when, according to NPD Group Inc., nearly seven in 10 consumers plan to spend the same or more on video games compared with last year, Xbox 360 today unveiled a lineup that is sure to tip the scales in favor of more — more fun, more entertainment value and more games available only on Xbox 360.

A “who’s who” of hot games, the list of Xbox exclusives includes “Forza Motorsport 3”, “Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction™”, “Left 4 Dead 2”, “Alan Wake”, “Shadow Complex”, “Crackdown 2”, blockbuster “Halo 3: ODST” and the surprise announce of Halo trilogy prequel “Halo: Reach.” Sharing the stage were blockbusters Infinity Ward’s “Modern Warfare 2” and the “The Beatles: Rock Band.”

“We know that your fun and our success boil down to one thing: our ability to make games that are creative, diverse and entertaining. Period. And this year, we deliver in spades with the biggest and best lineup in our history”, said Phil Spencer, general manager of the global Microsoft Game Studios business. “From the core first-person-shooter fans who’ve enjoyed Xbox since the first ‘Halo’ to new audiences who are discovering us today with genre-defining games like ‘1 vs 100’, we have something for everyone with our best and broadest lineup ever.”

Xbox 360 has the most celebrated, most played, most coveted and most E-rated games in the industry — and with 1,000-plus titles to date, there’s more than one for you.

World-renowned spy Sam Fisher returning to active duty!

World-renowned spy Sam Fisher returning to active duty!

Yes yes, our favorite American spy seemed to disappear off the face of the earth a couple years ago. He was due back to active service on our Xbox 360's a couple years ago, So where has he been?

Well it seems his handlers "Ubisoft" had just about had the game ready to go when they took a step back and looked at some other new games out on the xbox and decided that they could do much better. So the mission was scraped, Sam was put on extended leave and Ubisoft trashed what they had and started again from scratch to give the game a new visual style.

Also in the next installment Sam will not be working for the Government this time, But rather be a fugitive ruthlessly hunted by the very government who's ass he has saved countless times.

Sam will be on the run from "Uncle Sam" exclusively on the Xbox 360 in "Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction" by the end of the year. This usualy means a standard Novemberish release.

I for one being a huge Splinter Cell and Hitman series fan cant hardly wait.

In related Ubisoft news, we can expect a couple other releases soon. Ghost Recon 4 will be released sometime between now and March of 2010 (Christmas time most likely),

Then Red Steel 2 supporting the Wii MotionPlus add-on for the regular Wii remote, meaning that players will be able to wield katanas in a truly realistic manner. Red Steel 2 is promised to be out before the holiday season.

    Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction

"Splinter Cell Conviction" begins with Sam living the good life in the Mediterranean. He's retired from work as a spy and has been living in a remote place, hidden after his Double Agent assignment. As is usually the case for people such as Fisher, trouble starts brewing. Ubisoft hinted to us that trouble with Anna is what draws Sam out of his cocoon. Regardless of the reasons why, Conviction will find Sam compelled to go back to Third Echelon and rejoin its ranks.

"Most, if not all, decisions Sam will make in this game are driven by his own morals". In fact, the very fugitive idea is driven by Sam's morals. He could have stayed hidden somewhere, however his ideas about a "greater good' are stronger than his own safety."

With a new role as fugitive rather than special operative, Sam Fisher will drop his black suit and gadgets in favor of a more civilian appearance. After all, Sam Fisher creeping through the center of Washington D.C. in a black bodysuit carrying a multipurpose gun wouldn't exactly blend in as a fugitive.
