Team17 and Fika Productions have announced that bombastic solo or two-player co-op roguelite, Ship of Fools, will be launching on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC on November 22nd. Watch the launch date announcement trailer!
Set among the islands and outcrops of the Archipelago, Ship of Foolsfollows a group of plucky sailors – The Fools – as they set out across the choppy waters of their watery world, combat creatures from the deep, and attempt to thwart The Everlasting Storm and the Aquapocalypse!
Ship of Fools and its cast of characters – each with their own special abilities to help steer the crew to success – will encounter varied roguelite runs through the Archipelago. Each time they start a new voyage they’ll find something new to experience, whether that’s some of the 100+ unique trinkets to find and collect (and to combine as part of a winning strategy) or strange new islands to explore.
Team17 and Fika Productions announced that Ship of Fools will launch on new-generation console platforms later this year. In addition to the Steam for PC version, the frantic one or two-player local and online co-op roguelite is destined for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. Set sail into the Forgotten Waters with this frenzied co-op roguelike! Take on colossal leviathans, uncover lost treasure & attempt to hold back the Everlasting Storm! Are you Fool enough?
Set on the high seas, Ship of Fools follows a bunch of courageous (well, foolhardy) anthropomorphic sailors out to save their Archipelago from gigantic, deadly leviathans and The Everlasting Storm, as they strive to prevent the Aquapocalypse.
Watch the official announcement trailer below.
As the Fools and their good ship Stormstrider navigate the treacherous waters of the Archipelago, they’ll engage in chaotic cannon firefights, thwack enemies with oars, and run-saving deck repairs as the behemoths from the depths try to send them to Davey Jones’ locker. Along the way, the Fools will have to work together to stave off enemy encounters to secure rewards, uncover lost treasures and remote shops on islands, use harpoons to loot items adrift on the open sea, and ultimately defeat the final boss and try to stop the end of the world.
Ship of Fools key features include:
Bombastic combat – Frantic ship-based combat against colossal leviathans and horrifying creatures from across the deep, dark waters of the Archipelago
Frantic co-op experience – Designed from the keel up for co-op play, manage ship repairs in the heat of battle, reload and re-manoeuvre cannons, and use paddles to strike enemies as they board the Stormstrider
Endless replayability – Upgrade your crew and unlock items and additional Fools to take on the ever-changing seas, with multiple runs needed to avert the Aquapocalypse.

Capcom has officially announced that “Strider”, a remake of the classic ‘Strider‘ side-scrolling action game from the early 90's, will be available for digital download on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC early 2014. Take your first look at some of Strider's gameplay.
Hiryu is back, but this time in HD. Use your trademark strider plasma-Cypher and new Kunai attacks to shred through enemy droves. And expect to see the return of his trusty robot allies.
“The year is Meio: 048, on an alternate dystopian future of Earth. The whole planet suffers under the oppressive, iron-fisted rule of the mysterious and omnipotent Grand Master Meio. An expert in sabotage and assassination, Hiryu is the youngest ever recruit to attain a Special A-Class in the hellish Strider training program, and is the only man capable of achieving the mission to eliminate Grand Master Meio.”
Now if you ask me, this looks like an amazing remake. This is exactly what all remakes in HD should be like. Keeping the original game and improving on it. Great job Double Helix, we can't wait to play it.
