Initially, the Xbox One came on the market without any backward compatibility. Over the past few years, Microsoft has now made over 570 old titles on the Xbox One - and sometimes even improved. In June 2019, the last update of backward compatibility was released.
As far as Backwards Compatibility (BC ) is concerned, Microsoft clearly relies on Nintendo and Sony's competition in this generation of consoles, similar to the use of the Tropicana casino promotional code. So you can buy every backward compatible title digitally on the Xbox One, but you do not have to, if you still own the original DVD.
In mid-2015, Microsoft launched the offensive to make the games of the Xbox 360 on the Xbox One running. At the end of 2017, the Redmond company went one step further: back to their first home console, the original Xbox. For the E3 2019 in June, the first final update was released, which once again made a whole handful of Xbox and Xbox 360 games compatible with the Xbox One. A total of 577 titles of the two previous console generations are now playable on the One. Now the team, which has dealt with the backward compatibility of the Xbox One, should deal with the next Microsoft console, Project Scarlett.
If you own the Xbox or 360 game as a physical disk or digitally purchased it on the Xbox 360, you can also use it on the Xbox One. For the physical versions you simply insert the DVD, whereupon the Xbox One should offer you the adapted version of the game as a download. The DVD serves only as proof that the game is really in your possession. You will not be asked to pay a second time.
Konami announced today that "PES 2014", the next game in the popular PES series, will be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Windows PC and PSP later this year, with an all-new engine allowing for the most comprehensive advance for the PES range since its inception. PES 2014 will not be coming to Xbox One or PlayStation 4.
The PES Productions Team based in Tokyo have been developing a new approach to football for four years and can now confirm their new system uses Kojima Production’s renowned Fox Engine at its core. The team have extended and enhanced Fox Engine to match the bespoke and complex demands of a football title.
Based on six founding standards, the new system has allowed every aspect of PES 2014 to be totally reworked, throwing off the shackles of previous limitations and allowing the PES Productions team to produce a game much closer to their vision of recreating the excitement and variety of a top-level match. The central theme of fluidity is based on the constant moving of players and switching positions which characterises the modern approach to football. PES Productions have looked at how matches ebb and flow, with player individuality key to a team’s success, and well-drilled tactics helping underdogs produce giant-killing feats.
Working from the ground up, PES Productions have strived to rework every element of play, creating a fresh and energetic new standard for football titles. In addition to noticeably improved graphics and seamless animation, the thrust of the new system’s power has been used to redefine the way football is played on a home system. Gone are the limitations imposed by dated animation systems and AI elements, and instead PES 2014 boasts a central core that perfectly mimics the skill and awareness that elevates the world’s greatest players above their peers.

Hacking alert service PwnedList has discovered that more than 8 million email addresses and encrypted passwords from a gaming website have been published online, according to a report in Forbes.
The passwords, email address and user names were taken from free-to-play online gaming site Gamigo — publisher of games such as "Dungeon Empires" and "Cultures Online." And although the site is based in Germany, according PwnedList, 3 million American accounts were among the stolen data.
"It's the largest leak I’ve ever actually seen," PwnedList founder Steve Thomas told Forbes.
It's certainly the largest this year — following other significant breaches at LinkedIn, eHarmony and Last.fm.
Forbes reports that the stolen user information was posted to Inside Pro, a password-cracking forum, and remained there until late last week.
Gamigo first reported the hack back in early March with this post to its community members:
Electronic Arts Inc. today unveiled five game-changing innovations that will bring revolutionary changes to EA SPORTS™ FIFA 13 along with the largest and deepest feature set in the history of the franchise.
“We are perfecting the best sports game in the world with innovations that capture all the drama and unpredictability of real-world football,” said David Rutter, Executive Producer for FIFA 13. “These are game-changing innovations that will revolutionize our artificial intelligence, dribbling, ball control and collisions to create a true battle for possession across the entire pitch, and deliver freedom and creativity in attack.”
The most sophisticated artificial intelligence ever achieved for the FIFA franchise will drive FIFA 13 on HD consoles and PC. All-new Attacking Intelligence enables players to analyse space, work harder and smarter to break down defenses, and think two plays ahead. Players now possess the intelligence to create, curve, or alter runs to capitalize on openings as they occur, make runs that pull defenders out of position to open passing channels for teammates, and better position themselves for new attacking opportunities.
In FIFA 13 every touch matters with the most comprehensive and intuitive dribbling system ever developed. Inspired by the world’s best footballer, Lionel Messi, Complete Dribbling enables players to face their opponent and use precise dribble touches combined with true 360° mobility with the ball, so it’s easier to be more creative and dangerous in 1v1 opportunities. Players change direction quicker, are more explosive accelerating with the ball, and are more effective shielding defenders for longer stretches. FIFA 13 1st Touch Control transforms the way players control the ball, eliminating near-perfect touch for every player on the pitch, and creating variety and uncertainty around ball control. Factors such as defensive pressure, trajectory of the ball, and velocity of the pass now impact a player’s first touch, creating more opportunities for defenders to win back possession.
