Jaspel and Different Tales confirmed their inventory management roguelike, Backpack Hero, will be exiting Steam Early Access and releasing on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC in May. Check out the new console announcement trailer!
During its Early Access phase,Backpack Hero has attracted 180,000 players with its compelling twist on the standard deck-building roguelike. Success in each combat encounter isn’t about what you carry, but how you organize items in your bag.
Described as “the next big thing” by Splattercatgaming and “utterly enthralling” by GameSpew, Backpack Hero offers a roster of five heroes to choose from, each with a unique pool of items and abilities that completely change the way you play. The robot, CR-8, for example, lets you program commands in your backpack Factorio-style, while Pochette carries pets, giving Backpack Hero a Pokemon-esque twist! There are hundreds of rare items to discover and arrange into powerful combinations, over forty enemy types for you to battle and colorful characters to be encountered on your procedurally generated adventures.
Backpack Hero will be available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in May 2023.

Burst2Flame (@burst2flame) announced that simultaneous turn-based tactical RPG, Stolen Realm, will be exiting Early Access and releasing on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC in Q2 2023. The studio today also released the new World Map Update, removing the transition between the map and battles and introducing three brand new areas to the game, along with a host of other additions and improvements.
Praised by the likes of Shroud and Sacriel for the flexibility of its class customisation and a design that avoids RPG bloat, Stolen Realm takes the deep tactical systems of RPGs like Divinity: Original Sin and gives it a unique twist. Simultaneous turns allows all members of the player and enemy team to take their actions at once, creating the kinds of fast-paced encounters you’d typically find in action RPGs, without sacrificing the strategic richness that turn-based RPG fans love.
Stolen Realm features a highly customisable class system that allows you to create traditional RPG
classes or break the mould to forge a unique champion of your own. Make a spell-slinging assassin, a priest born of frost, or a shadow-infused knight as you draw from a pool of over 300 possible skills. With over 700 items to loot, each fully customisable with modifiers, there’s even more opportunity to change the way you play: wield Abbadon the Soul Crusher, a mythic mace that raises slain enemies as skeletal warriors to fight for you, or unsheath the Bloodletter, a cursed sword that grants additional power at the cost of your lifeblood. D&D-like special events where attribute-based rolls will have permanent effects on your character add yet another layer to building a character that is truly your own in a title that keeps a constant stream of compelling choices at the forefront of your experience.
With the release of the latest update, a world that changes with every expedition you undertake – either alone or with up to six players together via Stolen Realm’s friction free drop-in/drop-out co-op system – gets even bigger. Delve deep into the forgotten ruins of the once great Dwarven Halls, adventure into the untamed wilds of the Emerald Jungle and uncover the mysteries of the Sunken Swamplands, facing all new foes like creeping spiders, giant scorpions and Great Wyrms along the way. The transition between the world map and battles is now gone - now you can take your fight directly to enemies on the world map.

2D platformer 'Nummels' from Plattnip is now available for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. All Nummels will die one day, but who says it has to be right now? Come on over and help them out!
Nummels is a platformer where you are the smartest one in a land filled with idiots. It's up to you to help these guys make it to the exit in one piece. The Nummels are very dumb, but also very predictable. If you put a ladder in front of them, they'll climb it. If you leave a bomb in their path, they'll pick it up and end up hurting themself (and anyone nearby). In each level, a handful of Nummels will spawn in. You only need to get one of them to the exit in order to pass the level, but you'll earn more coins by saving all of them, and even more for doing it under the par time. There are also a few bonus coins if you can figure out each level's challenge. Use the coins to unlock hats, glasses, masks, bunny ears, headphones, and other accessories for your character. Each level also has a leaderboard, if you're into that kind of thing.
Nummels is available on the Xbox Store for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles right now for $9.99.

The temples are also a little prone to flooding…so don''t hang about for too long, grab what you can and get to the exit before it’s too late. Oh, and please don’t leave your partner behind…
FALLING OUT will be available for console and PC later in 2022.
Sixth Hammer has announced that Moo Lander is heading to Xbox One. Moo Lander is an action-adventure RPG with Metroidvania elements featuring an epic story about cows and milk. In the game the milk is the purest and most effective resource.
Since Moo Lander will very soon be joining the big Xbox games' family, The Sixth Hammer team has prepared a special demo build – bigger, better, more beautiful than ever, more challenging than before! Packing a 30 to 40 minutes singleplayer campaign and almost limitless multiplayer action with three super fun modes – PvP, PvE battles and Galactic Mooball soccer simulator.
This is a demo version, and it offers unlockable battle skins, challenging creatures to combat, Mighty Cow boss battles, beautiful graphics, self-recorded orchestral music, RPG elements, multiplayer and lots of milk! And now you can experience all these features on your Xbox One console. How cool is that?
Key Features
Some of the cool gameplay features in this Moo Lander demo include:
Unlockable camouflage modules - throughout the levels, there are collectables scattered, can you find them all to unlock new looks for your flying spaceship?
The Milk Arsenal - learn how to use The Milk Shield and The Milk Saber for defense and offense (or both). The Milk Bullets are the default milk-powered weapon.
"Ask Hamilton" option - yep, it is exactly that - you can ask your ship's AI Hamilton for some useful information about the flora and fauna of the world you explore.
Balanced difficulty levels - you have three options to choose from: the cheasy run, the normal playthrough or the legendairy soulslike experience. The chouce is yours.
Galactic Mooball mooltiplayer mode - play with three of your friends locally, two teams, one moobal, lots of soccer arenas. Here, you can play as the cow as well, and you can choose a special mooball (with its own physical trait) for each match.
And many more exiting details, which we won't spoil here, but will leave you to find for yourself during your demo playthrough.
Demo Length
With all that being said, the new Moo Lander demo is extended to about 30-40 (and even longer on harder difficulty) minutes of intense gameplay, not including the mooltiplayer options. There are also three difficult levels added – easy, normal and hard. The last one being for those of you who fancy a souls-like challenge. Expect environmental puzzles as well, and many, many alien creatures along the way to victory. But you don’t have to be alone in this journey – you can invite some friends over to enjoy the 4-player couch co-op multiplayer!
