sad day to hear that the Guitar Hero franchise and all DLC will be no more. .. Let's hope they come up with the next gen version, it's basically been the same old shit since GHWT like 5 games back.
Rock band will now takeover on DLC, so i guess we have better like it or else until something better comes out!.
hopefully they bring out a pro game with real drums and guitar.

Just programmed my TD3 with the correct MIDI notes for GH, this way I just have all the cables plugged into my TD3 and a MIDI Cable going from the TD3 to my GHWT brain.
Here's the values if anyone is interested:
Kick Pedal: 36
Red Pad: 38
Blue Pad: 48
Green Pad: 45
Yellow Cymbal: 49
Orange Cymbal: 46
If you want to play Rock Band via the GHWT brain use the same values as shown here.
What I've done is set up 2 different kits, one for GH and one for Rock Band since I set up my kit differently for each game.

Yet another update...
Just went into my local Billy Hydes today and enquired about a few bits and pieces. Luckily enough they had a Legacy kit which was stripped down and was being sold individually for parts.
First thing I grabbed was the proper Wiring Kit that came with the Legacy, which has all the cables bundled together and various sizes. $20 for that to start with...
The best bargain however has the 3 Dual-Zone Cymbals I picked up. I got 2 x 14" Cymbals for $80 each, but it gets better, I got a 15" Ride for $38 !!
So, all up I spent about $218 for this nice little upgrade.
The Dual-Zone Cymbals don't make any difference for GH / RB I will say now, this is more for my ROland TD-3 Module which does accept them (for when I just want to play it properly).

Very nice setup, Ive been getting into it a little more, guy at work has the Metallica Edition and weve been doin a little jamming. Been meaning to grab that adapter so I can hook up the BC Rich and go to town. Have you tried it DJB? when I talked to Hobbs he said he'd heard bad things about the adapter
