If you have the GTA IV content you wont have a hard time seeing this as a fact, i for one found this to be not only the most i would pay for DLC but the best thing i have spent MS points on to date.
Kotaku.com reports: Sadly, because it's a digital download, we don't know exactly how many copies of Lost & Damned Microsoft and Rockstar managed to sell. We do know, however, it's more than 323,000.
Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg let slip the information in an interview with GameDaily - in which he calls the Grand Theft Auto IV expansion "the most successful game addon content we've ever launched" - saying "If that content was sold at retail, it would be one of the best sellers across all platforms. It would have outsold Killzone 2".
Interesting. Not for the "outsold" argument (which is hardly fair, since L&D was out for half of February while Killzone 2 was only out for a few days), but for the Lost & Damned sales ballpark. Nice to get one for a downloadable game, even if it still leaves us wondering...
Looks like all the Xbox 360 Midnight Club fans out there will need to hold tight and it wont be because of the high speeds but due to a bug in the DLC that was due out today.
Kotaku.com reports: While the PlayStation 3 version of the Midnight Club: Los Angeles "South Central" expansion went up today without incident, the same can't be said for the Xbox 360 edition. Rockstar has announced it's been delayed.
But only "slightly," official word says. Rockstar Games points to "an unforeseen bug in the title update," one that it's doing its best to remedy as quickly as possible. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news John Q. Xbox 360 Owner, but the crack team at Rockstar usually turns these fixes around pretty hastily, so you'll be spinning through the fenced in West Los Angeles in no time.
Rockstar Games is proud to announce that the Midnight Club: Los Angeles South Central Map Expansion and South Central Premium Upgrade are now available for download on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
The South Central Map Expansion is free to all owners of Midnight Club: Los Angeles and adds four iconic neighborhoods equal to one third of the game’s original map. The South Central Premium Upgrade, which can be purchased for 800 MS points, gives players access to nine brand new cars ranging from SUVs to classic lowriders, complete with custom parts and body kits for each. Also included are 26 new races, 12 battle maps, 10 delivery missions, and over 100 red light races taking place in South Central. All of the races and events will expand the game’s story progression and are seamlessly integrated with the existing career elements.
Players can take to the streets of South Central during Rockstar’s “Game With Fame” weekend on March 22, and again with developers from Rockstar San Diego on Sunday, March 29. Jump on Xbox LIVE between 1pm and 5pm PST on March 22 and join Felli Fel, DJ Pooh, Glasses Malone and more from the Los Angeles Dub Show.
The latest Call of Duty 5 updates and patches have now been released.
The new maps are out but we also have something else to be happy about, the 3rd addition of updates have been released and should take effect when you fire up the game even if you did not DL the new maps. The following is a list of promised fixes.
Items Addressed
All rifle grenades fired during the first 15 seconds of Search & Destroy will be duds to prevent griefing in that game mode. (No Noob tube spawn kills on S&D, you can see all the sad tubers above :( )
Improvements have been made to the global spawn system – players should never spawn within the line of sight of an enemy. (Spawned into a bullet lately?)
Players who equip the Bouncing Betty and melee teammates in Hardcore game modes are now credited with a team kill penalty. (The one I have been waiting for!)
Players are now deducted 200 points for team killing the bomb planter/defuser in Hardcore Search & Destroy.(Not sure if this will actually denture those that like to do this)
Martyrdom no longer causes “direct impact” grenade deaths in Hardcore modes.(Before it was possible for a martardom grenade to fly out your butt when you got knifed and the grenade would hit the enemy in the head and kill him, very funny to see happen)
Players ranked higher than the maximum allowed in the Boot Camp playlist are no longer able to play in games with lower ranked friends in that playlist.
“Bayonet jumping” has been disabled.
Further improvements have been made to geographical matchmaking.
The “New” icon clears when a player has viewed an unlocked weapon (X360 only) (ya that was pretty annoying).
Many zombies were raised from the dead. (can never go wrong with more zombies)
Just a heads up for the COD fans out there that have allot on there minds, the Call Of Duty WAW Map Pack is out today and i am downloading as i type this, see you on the battle field.
Update: X2 XP starts today though the weekend starting 3/19/09 1:00 EST.
The guys from spywarguide are bloggin about a collection of 270 xbox live login details which have been phished via a fake XBox Live login page. Read on..
Today we came across a collection of approximately 270 sets of login details that have apparently been Phished via a fake XBox Live login page. The list, some 27 pages long in Word format, would allow people to access stolen XBox Live accounts, some of which may have credit card details stored against them (along with other forms of personal information, of course).
Phished XBox Live Accounts
This list seems to be in circulation on a number of hacking forums; the majority of the accounts were phished between November and December of last year. Despite the relatively long time that's elapsed since the data was first collected, a lot of the accounts still seem to be accessible based on comments we're seeing on those underground sites. It seems someone might have put their personal stash on "general release" to gain some kudos with others.
