Need for Speed Hot Pursuit is in development at Burnout Paradise maestro Criterion Games.

"When the team at Criterion Games got the keys to one of the biggest racing franchises, we wanted to take it back to its roots," said creative director Craig Sullivan at the press conference, with "exotic cars, epic drives, and hot pursuits," and a "full career as both a racer and a cop."

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit will be released for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii on November 16 in North America, hitting Europe on November 18 and 19.

• Career – For the first time in Need for Speed history, players will experience the gripping and heart-racing action of both cops and racers. Hot Pursuit seamlessly links a tremendously deep and fully-defined single player career with a groundbreaking multiplayer experience across all race modes.
