Unreadable Disc Error - Backup DVD-R

If you find yourself getting the "Unreadable disc/Dirty Disc" error after burning backups, give this a try. This also took care of the "Power Calibration Error" in nero and stopped burning bad cd's/dvd's.
1. Take your burner out and remove the bezel and the face plate
2. You should find 4 screws on the bottom to take out and remove the metal casing
3. You will need a Q tip or two and some rubbing alchohol, get some alchohol on the Q tip and gently clean the laser lens, I do this by rolling the Q tip in my fingers to kinda "polish" it.
4. Take a clean dry Q tip to finish it up by doing the same thing drying any excess alchohol left over.
5. Put your drive back together and test it out.
This would be a good time to clean the whole drive also so there would be a less of a chance for dust getting right back onto the laser lens.
I also do this with 360 drives when they dont want to work as well anymore and they work like a champ again.
