^^ so err?! is this an update thread or has it become something else?
the "bandwagon" place is where i met SPPV, atreyu187, vga, Hardak, fatman and SO many great members that actually tough me how to "take a shit" and expanded my knowledge base! was a n00b but never got treated like one! it's all about the community and NOT the competition! if i've misunderstood that then it seems i shouldn't be here, if i'm reading too much into it (as usual) then...as you were!
i guarantee a good chunk of users flocked from these so-called competing site just to find specific and professional advice...i'm one of them! SPPV for all my xbox needs and....i'll need to find the resident 360 experts if i run into difficulty there! _________________________________________________________ to all my friends... farewell and all the best to future prosperity... and remember, be excellent to each other!

We aren't competing at all, are you still only getting 200kbps on so called premium accounts? Are they still having constant time out connections? Is it still taking a hell of a long time to upload a game? Has there been a new apparence for a new theme like theisozones owner announced? I might be mistaken but didnt atrey retaliate and almost get banned from the website? How many times has SPPV been banned after the large amount help he has been giving that site, How fast is email support or getting in contact with the admin?
If I'm wrong then I'm wrong. I just don't think the owner has any clue on what he is doing.

Dude, if you don't see the site owner on his own website you know he's only in it for the money. Can i ask how many forum posts the owner has. To tell the truth I have never visited the sites you are talking about, but sounds interesting. Thats just on the new site I can't speak from experience on what it was like with older sites since it's considered a new domain.
He does appear every so often I remember seeing tons of threads created about never getting replies from there email after staff kept telling the users to email the admin for support. Same with Why aren't my downloads working.
I just feel the site as a rip off, if you're going to have a website that hosts files then you should at least have a server status page. And if you are having server issues then you should DISABLE premium account offers so users dont feel as if they are ripped off over server difficult.

1, i'd just be repeating (in my own words) what they were saying! (nothing new)
2, that being the caee. i'm not throwing more petrol on an already blazing inferno...it's just not needed!

the premium is somewhat subjective on the speeds, it's true what you say...i've had BAD slowdowns on downloads but honestly,. i couldn't GAFF about that on my end! i got the file and five a day is more than enough! (plus i torrent my gear from elsewhere) i'm not saying that to blanket my thoughts to all else having a speed issue, just my perspective! i DO agree 101% that if you pay for a service, you GET that service AS ADVERTISED, no deviation! most of the time, the download on the premium has been decent but...(not for some it seems)
i've till may when my subscription expires...IT'S WASTED AS A SUB! hardly use it! has it's uses for re-downloading what i uploaded to check item integrity and ELIMINATE bullshit remarks on my gear like "it doesn't work you fag, upload me another copy NOW! (<yes, those were the strength of insults on my gear....you can't challenge that as SPPV went trough the same shit MORE times than i care to remember!)

the ONLY reason i'm there is to help the community and stay intouch with my friends, not the downloads....and the upload system is shot to shit! WTFF uses that terrible POS protocol for data transfers known as HTTP? i wouldn't have an issue with it IF the damn thing resumed as FTP protocol does, but it doesn't and when you've uploaded a three-split archive (3x 1.8g 5.4g total page submission) only to have it FREEZE up at the 99% uploaded mark is just fucking BOGUS! uploading on 128kbytes MAXIMUM is NOT for that shit!
ask SPPV how much data was lost there in failed uploads? he KNOWS first hand! (and i've lost nearly a TB in total during my stay there....NOT counting successful item submissions that got ghosted in the server crash...this is ALL failed uploads) that's my beef with there, the stupid HTTP upload system with no resume..WTF?
either i use FTP or torrent (or an equally STABLE method, i'm game) or it's TITS OR GTFO! it takes days to upload an item at 4g avg on 128kbytes MAX transfer speeds...it wouldn't be an issue if they RESUMED like FTP/torrent! _________________________________________________________ to all my friends... farewell and all the best to future prosperity... and remember, be excellent to each other!

I don't have anything against the community just the site owner so I apologize if thats what came out if anyone from there is reading this. I still speak with vga from time to time
I remember actually going to gamestop and picking up I think it was ghost recon 2 on ps2 to upload it to the site since no one could find a copy on it online and it took nearly 6 hours to upload a less then 2gb game I think it was.
I remember holding a competition for a free months of subscription as well.
A simple captcha system under game posts would help reduce alot of spam
Just look at there amount of blue users compared to there yellow users.
hobbs when was hq created 2004? And the admin is still around frequently and keeps us up to date.

true, the blue user (registered accounts) outweighs the orange user (premium accounts) by light years but then again, what site doesn't?

Anyway, I am sure I could blow away that download service if I ever decide to, as far as uploads and downloads go. I do respect what they are doing and would even support their subscription if it worked. That being said I already have a plan to solve the Paypal issue they have if I do make a download site.

Well it did, legal issues was what i was worried about.
