I thought the laser and motor were dead... Men how did the drive burn?

Anyway, only with JTAG you can get the damn key.

JTAG is a little hardcore, why don't you fix the RRoD consoles? You can fix them and sell them.

I think I understand. PCB controls the motor, etc. Don't know how it burned. These were all given to me by friends.

So now I ask, where do I start with the JTAG? As I said before, I don't have power adapters for the other two RROD consoles as of yet. And the third I haven't even tampered with yet. I was hoping to get a simpler task done first. Looks like I was wrong.

(see attachment)

For JTAG, first check out which dashboard version your xbox 360 has?
Go to settings - console - info

Then you can not JTAG your xbox.

The only thing you can do is the Reset Glitch and that requires a lot of soldering.

What would doing that accomplish for me? And is there really a point in me having a 360 that doesnt have a drive in it?

Edit: Ok, I see what the reset glitch is now. Making the Jtag possible on all 360's. I've been honing my soldering skills. I might be ready to try this approach.

Yes, but the hard part is doing it.

There is a lot of soldering. Check the official tutorial from team xecuter (using their kit of course)

I trust you, but it actually looks like there's more soldering involved in the link. I wish there was someone close whom I could pay to do the project.

The soldering on the boards are pretty easy, the hardest part for a a soldering newb is the soldering on the console, but they are not a big deal.

Of course if you dont feel comfortable you can get someone to do it.

The only person I know in the US that does that is Scarface but he's not from your State I believe.

PS: I still think you can do it, you can train soldering on a old remote or on a training board Cool

Yeah I'm confident I can do it. These consoles were all free anyways, so I won't be taking a loss really. But between the link I posted and you provided, which seems to have less soldering and do I still need to buy the other kit you mentioned earlier with this chip?
