Ya people are getting it right and left now. last night when that guy Unitedboots had the virus, and we found out about it, he was being hunted down like a dog by our entire team.
When you get it, go to your character model and press left bumper to choose zombie. We were doing gta races and I would just jump out of the car and go into crouch mode pick a female npc to follow arround, so when the other guys finished and seen my screen they would see a zombie following arround a screaming woman, We were laughing so hard.

Sounds to me like it could be some kind of joke.
Saying that, due to the fact that they've had to work there asses off, The Rockstar Devs are all Zombies now.

Edit: After reading this topic, I started a ranked Multiplayer game, and as soon as the game started, one of the other players spawned in front of me, and was a zombie!

I agree that the rockstar dev's worked VERY hard to get us GTA IV on time and they did a good job. I think they are all zombies because they worked non stop the last 2 months of development. So it very well could be a joke. I'm not sure whether it IS actually a viral.
I think it's more, if you kill a zombie, you get to own the zombie skin, and get the achievement.
Kinda like the "Girl Power" and "The Good, The Bad and The Bombed" achievements on Bomberman Live _________________________________________________________

It is possible that it was only if you killed a developer, but after alot of people bitchin, maybe they updated and changed the code a bit so it would be viral. But I dont remember getting an update message.
