yup yup,

"Games use Kinect in a variety of amazing ways, from adding voice to control your squad mates, to adding lean and other simple controls beyond the controller, to full immersive gameplay," he says. "That said, like online, the console will still function if Kinect isn't plugged in, although you won't be able to use any feature or experience that explicitly uses the sensor."

Xbox One still works without Kinect, says Xbox:

And you'd be pissed if

A) Kinect broke
B) Kinect needed repair if broke and console was out of warranty

No Kinect would of meant, no single player, No multiplayer, no nothing

Now let's see a $400 version!

So what if it breaks. If you bought it separately it is the same situation. At least you are getting it cheaper bundled in with the console. I am thinking they shouyld have a Kinnnectless packer too for $400 then nothing will stop the xbox one. Wink

Well the first kinect never broke so why would a new improved version break all of a sudden.

Even if it did break I'm sure you could send it back to M$ like you do with the 360 and it's back good as new in about a week or buy a new one.

The price that is set is very good if you think about it as most new consoles of years past have been up near if not over the $900 mark at the moment a new xbox or ps3 go for around $300.

im loving all the announcement more and more. Every day there's something new like the season passes. Now that's sweet.. It means we can still play everything on the 360 while we wait for the Xbox One. Same goes for those who don't want to upgrade straight away. Smile

i just had an argument in the xbox360 beta forum about the no cross console chat being a whole bunch of PR bs to force you to upgrade to xbox one or feel left behind. like they couldnt make a common codec, they own damn skype i think they could draw up code to run on both consoles.

"xbox 180 we own you, not the other way around"
