When ever I bought a new games I would sit up days upon days just doing my best to finish it now it's just bleh, and I'm talking retro type of gaming along with Xbox 1, I remember James bond 007 being my very first xbox 1 game and then my controller breaks 4 days after just getting it as a Christmas present, those were the days eh?
i sparked up splatterhouse 2 on the xnesis last night my wife was like why did i never play this game? my daughter was like oooh that looks interesting, and basically just pushed me out the way, as we progressed the levels i remembered what it was like being 10 and spending hours trying to finish such simple levels, no respawns, no power ups, you die YOU DIE!
Yeah games now just suck. Last game I actualy sat down and spent hours playing was Undead Nightmare. The kick ass games are so rare now its sad.
It seems the companies are so worried about flashy graphics they forget its a video game and make the game play non existent.
Theres only 5 or 6 games from the current gen I can even stand, the rest after like 10 minutes I turn it off boot the XBOX and Play some KI Arcade or Godfather, or else some Dead Rising 2/Resident Evil 5 Mercenaries on PC.

^^ we may have had our differences but this isn't one of them!
..........
sadly, i agree 101% because.....well, the truth hurts! _________________________________________________________ to all my friends... farewell and all the best to future prosperity... and remember, be excellent to each other!
they work hard on current gen games, more employees, more time to make games, better graphics, longer gameplay, bigger space etc
but for some reason, they just arent as fun. it got too serious.
its funny that my kids want to play retro over the current gen, they laugh and talk about what they are doing more. games were about playing, these days its too serious, they are only called games, its more like watching a movie now, but you get a little control/interaction.
my kids love snowboarding kids 2 for n64, its probably the most heavily played game they keep coming back to.
