Does anyone else here collect NINTENDO G&W or retro/vintage game consoles and computers? I have a pretty large collection myself. Anyway let me explain a little more.

NINTENDO MINI CLASSICS:
I have nearly finished my NINTENDO MINI CLASSICS collection, probably another few months and i will have all of them mint i hope. Does anyone remember these?

I bought most of them many years ago when HQ Mattster came over and told me all about the new re-makes back in 1998-2000. We ended up getting near the whole series back then for around $10-15 each, and NOW they are now worth $99.99 each.. lol good huh?

Most of the games in the series are reissues of the original Nintendo Game & Watch titles, but it also includes titles that were not from the original series. All of the Mini Classics titles are officially licensed by Nintendo and they come in a variety of colors and in different regions have different distributors and boxart background in the casings. (the games are pretty much the same, maybe the colors sometimes are different). I'm gonna take some snaps of my collection soon but until then learn more and read on! I need 8 more (in packaging un opened to complete). only 8 woot.

NINTENDO MINI CLASSICS I NEED::
1. Poker (Europe exclusive)
2. Star Trek: The Next Generation (Single Screen) (Europe exclusive)
3. Star Trek: The Next Generation (Dual-Screen) (Europe exclusive)
4. Star Trek: TOS Beam me up! (Europe exclusive)
5. Sudoku (Europe exclusive)
6. Tetris (Europe Exclusive) (Licensed by Nintendo)[2]
7. UEFA Euro 2008 (Europe exclusive)
8. Yu-Gi-Oh!

NINTENDO MINI CLASSICS - Game & Watch reissues::
- Parachute
- Octopus
- Fire
- Snoopy Tennis
- Oil Panic (Dual Screen) (Europe exclusive)
- Donkey Kong (Dual-Screen)
- Donkey Kong Jr.
- Mario's Cement Factory
- Super Mario Bros
- Zelda Game & Watch (Dual-Screen) (1998)[1]

NINTENDO MINI CLASSICS - Original Titles::
- Carrera (a racing game branded by the slot car manufacturer Carrera)
- Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Europe exclusive)
- Poker (Europe exclusive)
- Smurfs (Europe exclusive)
- Soccer
- Spider-Man
- Star Trek: The Next Generation (Single Screen) (Europe exclusive)
- Star Trek: The Next Generation (Dual-Screen) (Europe exclusive)
- Star Trek: TOS Beam me up! (Europe exclusive)
- Sudoku (Europe exclusive)
- Tetris (Europe Exclusive) (Licensed by Nintendo)[2]
- UEFA Euro 2008 (Europe exclusive)
- Yu-Gi-Oh!

NINTENDO GAME & WATCH (G&W)
Well when i was a kid, the original G&W games were around $99 dollar each for a single screener and like $140 or more for the double screens. They were uber cool in the day, with alarm clock and two game modes. I have around 10-15 of these, most of them need to be refurbished, but they mostly work. Just remember to keep them in a dry sealed bag of some kind, so the dye wont run in the screen. i have had a few do this in the past. (really old ones).

You can earn yourself some really nice dollars on ebay/amazon if you want to collect and sell them, but to get them will cost you these days.

Here's some other stuff i collect:

ATARI 2600
Over 80 original cartridges and complete Atari 2600 setup.

COMMODORE 64
Just too much to mention here, i have heaps of adapters so ican attach my original c=64 disk drive to my pc and use emulators like vice to program and make intros for games or music. pretty cool.. I also have a Memory card disk drive emulator which holds up to 4gb of c64 disks so you dont need to change disks all the time.

COMMODORE AMIGA
I got into AMIGA pretty late due to being a musician on the c64 and writing games and music on that platform and doing graphics and fonts for intros etc.. I do have a A500 with loads of games however, and am always collecting more.

SUPER NINTENDO (SNES)
Loads of this stuff.

MEGADRIVE/GENESIS (SNES)
I only have the megadrive verison at the moment with like 50 original catridges. i want to get the add on MEGA CD and etc. Still looking for near mint stuff.

DREAMCAST
My one true love, that really got me into website coding and i made my first website called dconly.auz.nz or something like that.. I still have nearly every single game for the DC.. It still works, and i have it tucked away.. lol

loads more..

anyway, sorry to ramble, just hoping to find some more collectors here on the HQ to chat with!

What do you collect?

I don't collect anything, but the one collection you have there i'm jealous of is the Atari 2600. One button joysticks and paddle controllers, what more do you need.
I'll be in Oz in less than a month, you had better keep it locked up in case it goes missing Laughing

I don't have much of my past gaming life with me today I do still have my N64 and Gamecube but as I'm sure most of you guys have worked out I had a Mega Drive and played the ass out of it. I also had a Vectrex and an Atari 2600 too. Then I had Playstation as well and now both Xbox and the 360.

But what I do collect is Sonic The Hedgehog, Halo and Predator stuff.

I wish I still had all my Atari 24-2600, Nintendo NES, Snes, Sega Master System, Genesis, 32x, Sega CD, Saturn and Dreamcast consoles and games. I just have a few of the snes games and I think I still have the console. I still have the Genesis with some games, 32x with like 6 games, Sega CD with maybe 10 games, Saturn with maybe 40 games, Dreamcast with hundreds of games for it.

When I think of all the games I've had in the past it blows my mind. I mean I used to have about 200 Atari, 200+ Genesis, 100 Saturn

I still like collecting the old games but haven't been adding to my collections much in the last few years.

Yeah Sonic's 21 years old now so if he isn't he's not far off it.
