It's suppose to have old school graphics, so you're pretty correct with that statement.

If you don't like to build stuff and spend hours creating things that could be destroyed at any moment, then Minecraft is your game. If you're like me, someone who isn't creative at all, then this probably isn't going to be a stand out game for you.

Yep that's a picture but it looks kinda out dated compared to what it is now and its not old skool graphics, its just a block world, you can use high def real life textures in the game. Not to mention there's a Creative and Survival mode to choose from, and the xbox version is lacking alot of things like updates custom mods and map packs. Also if you cant tell from the pics, I have a shaders mod installed lol.

More or less when it comes down to it, the only way is to play the game, and ive played it since beta LOL.

here are the requirements to run on the pc

That's not all. You can work with others or against others (which ain't cool). There are elements to work with so you can get pretty creative and things can be complex if you go there. You should try it. Maybe you'll like it but if not that's ok.

Some mods have animals and beasts, some peaceful, some not.

I am so into getting hosting for mindcraft going, plus other game servers. Can already do tons of them. Mindcraft needs a ton of ram for JAVA so I am having a tough time building a cost effective solution.

There are pvp servers, one in particular that is popular is raidcraft, where you get territory, resources and go on raids of other camps. Thing with minecraft its a open ended game where practically anything goes.

Tweak generally how game server hosts have it set up is based on ram to slots ratio and what eats the ram is the plugins and mods.

generally it goes like this
1 GB = 20-25 players
2 GB = 40 -50 players
3 GB = 65 -75 players
4 GB = 90 - 100 players
6 GB = 135 - 145 players
8 GB = 180 -190 players

so with plugins and what not, you just cut the amount of players per GB in half and with a 100 mb connection you would max out around 320 players before you can max out the ram in a server.
