I'm not to sure if you can watch it directly of the disc, but I know you can from a usb drive or a external hard drive. Keep in mind you must be connected to xbox live to watch them.

If you use a streaming program like TVersity it will automatically convert it for you so EncodeHD is just for using it from an external usb device (or disc if that works)

Best Regards,
Frozenfire1

divx do run of the disc if they have the correct stuff in them, ive got discs with divx movies which run fine whether of hard drive, or disc, and for stuff which dont work of usb or disc, i stream via tversity to encode them on the fly! im assuming with encode (although im yet to get this wonderful software) will convert your movies/files to play of disc, usb or via streaming.

Yup, just to confirm you can watch any xvid./divx from the dvdrom drive no probs but like frozenfire1 has said only when your connected to XBOX LIVE.

You can easily convert things yourself even full dvd's to XVID (suggested) or divx.. Smile Ive got 500gb of my favorite tv shows. hahah
