brand new to the 360 so excuse my retarded question.. he he. I have been playin halo3 and my headset cuts in and out. is there a way to fix it or make it not do that. Its the wired one, basically what happens is i plug it in and it comes on and works for a second. when it stops working i can twist the plug while its in the controller and then it works and goes back out. Frustrating to say the least.

Sounds like the connection is broke in the wire to the dongle. If you hold the wire in that position does it stay on and let you talk/hear people?

Let us know

Best Regards,

Sounds like you should just get a new mic.

tomorrow is the day. i took the skin off of the plug and there is a short somewhere in it. Im not even going to mess with it because its just way simpler to return it and get a different one.

I would think not. I took apart my old headset a long time ago to try to fix it but the speaker for hearing went out. I put it back together and sent it to the company and they gave me a new one. So I would think they might, but it depends on what brand it is.

This is interesting to me. Ive been through 3 headsets (wired) in a year... Thing is I barely use them! I would guess less than 5 hours each. Does anyone else have this issue? I use diff controllers as well, so thats not it. Ive had 2 MS and 1 Madcatz.... Madcatz being the worst.

I use wireless as well, but its a pain to keep charged when I need it. I dont use headsets too often.

I've had 2 plantronic ones in the last 3 years. They work great.

i returned it the other day and plugged in the new one... it works but the mic has to be in my mouth hole to register anything.. It really sucks to be playin halo and have to stop and push the mic so i can say something. Is there anything i can buy (dont feel like modding) that will work correctly the first time>?
