Alright, been thinking about this for awhile, and wondering if anyone is on the same page. 360 and all these consoles continue to pump out games that eventually have to have a sequel but my idea kind of combines games like GTA, World of Warcraft and others to make a huge gaming idea. Wondering why no company has even started working on stuff like this. A game where you can pretty much choose what the hell you wanna do, but with everyone playing a role like WOW. The freedom to go anywhere you want, be who you want to be, and do what you wanna do. Everytime I'm playing like Halo with buddies i end up kinda wondering off to the edge of the map and wanting to go out there and explore. A game with achievements so that when you've done all the missions, when the gaming company needs to update, instead of buying a brand new game all the time, you actually just download the expansion and it updates automatically why keeping the same old information. I know it would take alot of memory for this company but i think it would pay off. Would kinda be cool to have a game where you can decide one day if you wanna rob someone, and someone else who's playing a role of a cop get's a signal from their radio to track you down and you guys have a shootout. Like a neverending GTA but a game that tracks everything you do. Idk maybe i'm just rambling on (i think i am) but just wish a company would create something this revolutionary on a gaming console instead of PC. _________________________________________________________ The Burninator...
Well to get that big of a game onto a 8 gig disc would be really hard. This would be possible more so on blu-ray I think, since you can store up to 50 gig on one disc. _________________________________________________________

YEa i understand ya completely i also think they should make sumthin like the sims but more real and like a free roam GTA type thing where you can be any age or sumthin and go to school or Work or pick want you want to be and do your job or just try to steal things that never end until you really die in the game then start a new game or sumthin
That would be cool.

yea exactly, you could just one day decide to rob some place, and the store owner can defend his spot, I mean it would be like everybody has a freakin job. That happens, say you kill the clerk, run out and police players are notified so they get to the scene track you down at the same time news players (who decided to be news anchors) get there for the story. It would be a hgue epic game with just numerous things to do. Like real life just in a online game like WOW meets star wars galaxies meets SIMS and all. i have a hope one day for such a game, i think the cost of making such an intricate and large scale enough for it to be absolutly amazing would be the main factor in the delay of a massive multiplayer online sandbox game (mmosg - this should be coined! im copy righting it!) i believe that one day the "universal console" which will put less strain on developers will be the ultimate evoltuion of console gaming whne companys like sony and microsoft work together for a standard console, because theres never been a massive profit in console sales. another concept is god which has been wanted by the industry god is the era of gaming-on-demand when we have big enough bandwidth to get full hd quality games over the net!
I think this is a good idea but again comes the issue of cost.
#1 - Cost way to much to develop (would have to have a monthly cost like other MMORPGs to pay for servers also)
#2 - There would have to be thousands of cities if it were to be on one server or there could only be so many of each job per server if there would be multiple servers
#3 - I think this would only work on PC just because of the type of game it would be
Also I believe a mod like this has been made on the source engine mod garrys mod, I tried it but found it to be boring (again it was a mod and no one ever played it)
Would be cool to see a developer try and make this though

lol i have no doubt that it can be made. sheshhh if people can make invisible cloaks (believe it or not but they're breaking through at I believe a UC for technology of a invisible cloak), HD magnifying eye contacts (yes they're developing this too so you can have better vision then 20/20 and be able to see at night and all) and other things i dont doubt that this can be done. Like you said, it's an issue of cost (which can be handeled well $12.99 subscription) then time to develop. If they made it for the 360 now and it took a few years a new console would be out by time they finished. Then everyone would want to buy newer games, not older ones that they have to pay monthly for. _________________________________________________________
