I just bought Fallout 3 last night. I am a huge fan of bethesda. Oblivion was great, Dark Corners of the Earth was awesome and i'm hoping this game is worththe money as well.
I just started the game last night and was able to at least make my character, took a little while because i'm very particular about how i want my Heroines to look. I have to say I love the customization that bethesda brings to every game. they are really a gaming software developer that really has a handle on what my niche of the community wants.
I haven't really got into the story yet but i most likely will tonight and this weekend.

I want this game so bad.
I finished Oblivion and have bought most of the expansion packs, and I loved every second of it.
I am a huge bethesda fan and I hope the rumors are true that a mmorpg version of elder scrolls is the next thing they are working on.

The way the beginning is, it is sort of odd and people may not get it but as I played, I couldn't stop. I love Oblivion but this game is just way cooler with the weapons and the theme. I hid the game on my self because it addicts me, work has to be priority right now. So basically, I have not done much of the actual story yet but I just had a ball running around checking everything out. It is the best to get your own robot protector! You can use it to store stuff too.

oh man, this game is the SHIT!
i have been playing now for like 3 days straight. and when i say straight, i mean i have gotten like 10 hours of sleep in the last 3 days. This game is like crack!
the story line is so in depth and the options to choose from are infinite. the graphics are completely top notch and the visual effects are the step above anything I've seen in a while. The facial expressions when talking are better than oblivion. They actually move their arms and heads when talking so that's really cool.
also one thing i have noticed is the amount of voice actors. They really must have went out and used everyone on their team as a voice actor because i haven't heard two that sound the same yet! Although i did notice some of the ghouls sound like the khajiit in oblivion, but that's cool. no big deal.

i really don't think you will need the strategy guide. Nothing has been too hard yet, butthen again i have been playing at a snails pace, trying to get every conversation that i can in. I have been playing for 24 hours gametime and i don't think i have even scratched the surface.
