Hey i am a new member and was wondering if anyone out there could help me with a problem i am having with my X box 360. the problem is with Oblivion Elder Scroll. I am at Bruma Gate and have gotten to the end of the mission, once i grab the key the game begins to load to bring me out side the gate, but just when it is almost completely loaded it freezes. i have tried a brand new disk with the same results. what should i do

Welcome to the site. I have heard about this problem with Oblivion before. What you need to do is clear your cache. Go to your dashboard, then your system blade , then pick your memory. Highlight your HHD, then push Y, then X,X,LB,RB,X,X. Then a message will pop up asking you if you want to perform system maintenance. Select yes, then your done. This will clear all your updates for your games. It will reduce the clutter. Then pop in the game, you will have to download all the necessary updates when prompted. Then continue on with your gaming. Hope this is helpful. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

Welcome to the site Poobiej, If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

It sounds to me its most likely the cache clear. We also have a tutorial with pictures here

you can try irish gunners method, witch will remove all updates for all games too, or try this.

To solve this problem, reset your Xbox, and hold down the A button as the game is booting up. If any button is held while Oblivion is loading, it will clear its hard drive cache, and create a new one.
Once you see the “Bethesda Softworks” logo video, the game is already loaded, and the cache should have been cleared.

This will not effect or mess with your content or saves, just the cache.

I am pretty sure it is the (A) button you have to hold down but yeah you are right that works very well! Very Happy I should know being a Oblivion freak! Hopefully Bethesda Studios will make fallout 3 worth the wait.
