okay so i have this hd movie saved onto my computer, and i want to know how i can stream it to my 360 over my network like all my other non hd movies. is there some kind of codec or whatever to make it so they can play ...any help would be appreciated, thanks

Somehow, I don't think we need to know in case of violations to the site. But in Canada we can still legally make backups as long as we have the originals Cool

i believe you can use Winamp Remote if you have the proper codecs.

i can't remember what i used but it was one of the only MKV file players out there...

i think its called media player classic and it allows you to install the codecs along with it

you can also try this link, it seems to have helped many people

edit: forgot to mention...be ready for a LONG load time and not being able to fast forward and all...I mean I can't figure out how to do it seamlessly and its really annoying...so much easier popping a DVD in...

You could also use TVersity media server which is free and able to stream divx/xvid and transcode other files if needed.
