Okay here is the deal I have my computer connected to my hdtv now and my computer monitor is sitting over in the corner all lonely and all. Sad My question is this I was hoping I could use my computer monitor all by itself to play my 360 on but it looks like all the 360 vga cables are made to plug into a vga input. What I want to do is run my 360 signal straight to my computer monitor and not into a tv or a computer. I thought this would be fairly easy to use just the computer monitor but have found no 360 cables with a female end just male end. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Very Happy

I have the official microsoft ones myself and they work great, if you don't have a high definition tv I would recommend these as it makes your games look a lot better.

Okay well I don't know if this will work because what I want to do is connect my monitor which doesn't have vga input it just has the cable that comes out of it which has a vga male that needs to be plug into a vga input female. What I am looking for is a cable that will come out of the a/v port of 360 and have a female input end on it so I can plug the male vga connector to it from the monitor. Is that what that cable is I couldn't tell because the picture doesn't show the end very well.

if you buy the microsoft vga cord, it comes with a male to female adapter to tie the two lines. Just buy the Microsoft brand and buy it new and you will have everything you need. Take in mind you will need something to supply the sound.

Thanks arch I think that is what I am going to do. I can save myself a whole lot of money getting a third party 360 vga cable and getting the female to female vga adapter versus buying the microsoft vga cable. Very Happy

As far as getting sound from the setup I am going to use my old surround sound setup for the computer monitor and I am hooking up a 5.1 dolby surround sound system to my main gaming area. Very Happy
