New to 360's need help before buying.
Looked online and am i right the Xbox 360 Console is better then the Xbox 360 Arcade Console is the Xbox 360 Elite Console better then the xbox 360? or is it just a black version with a bigger hdd and headset?
Wanting to gt GTA4 and forza 2 Loved Forza 1.

I could be wrong but i do believe that they are all the same apart from the black case. The only thing that makes the console an elite or premium or arcade is the accessories and chrome dvd bezel, its all to do with marketing.
What you want to look out for is what motherboard it has. Check the psu runs at 175w i think. That one has the cooler running cpu, the gpu is exactly the same.
Someone please correct me if i'm wrong but that is my understanding.

Thanks man. Just been looking online at GTA 4 and found out New Zealand and australia are getting sutt cut out of the game. GRRRR Think i be inporting the game. Mite just get the xbox system that has forza 2 in it from shop and get gta4 off net.

well i consider them diffrent if they have diffrent mainboards or size lol so yeah some models are diffrent then others but from main point
arcade no hdd lackster of all 360 pakages premium a decent pakaged and elite black finish with bigger hd.

yeh i no forza bee out for a bit now get it with the console when you buy it. Yeh most likly inport GTA4 from US. so if my xbox 360 is PAL will it play the overseas version of GTA4? Sorry new to the xbox 360 side had lots of normal modded xboxs before.
All the new xbox 360's have the falcon motherboards which have a 65nm cpu meaning it produces less heat, and has way less chance of breaking, so if you are getting an xbox 360 shoot for a falcon because it will be the best one. I wrote a mini guide for what to look for here:

As for the different versions this is what you’re getting into
Arcade - the console for the light gamer, doesn't include and high definition cables or anything like that, so if you don't plan on downloading much from xbox live or going high def this is for you
Pro - this is the one I would recommend, as it has hard drive, high definition cables, headset, everything you need to play a wide variety of xbox 360 games, get demos, dlc, and play xbox live. I would recommend this one for GTA IV as it has the hard drive and GTA IV has an optional (but recommended) install to the hard drive to decrease load times.
Elite - the exact same as the pro except it is black, has a 120gb hard drive, and comes with an hdmi cable
Also if you plan on getting GTA IV imported (like a USA version) then you will need an NTSC console, so you would have to order one online or get someone from the USA/Canada to buy it for you and ship it out for you.
At this point mod chips or flashing wont play imported games, only back ups. For import games you will need an NTSC console like frozenfire said. _________________________________________________________

Thanks all. Popped into shop today and had a look MMMM GTA 4 poster and empty cases all over the show lol. And gess what Its got MA+15 on it and thay have popped a R18 Sticker over it lol.
Also had a look at the xboxs and the Date on them are 2008/08/12 on the console.
Also box says 200-240Vac
this is on the pro xbox 360 console with Forza 2 and Viva dinata.
GTA 4 is $137 NZ for the special pack and GTA 4 normal is $109.
Any one no what the NZ and AUS versions has got removed from the game?
