Hey guys just wanted to know if anyone has played frontlines fuel of war yet?? Xbox magazine gave it a 9 out of 10 and was just wondering if the rating was justified? I played the demo and thought it was just beautiful clunky feeling medal of honor game. But maybe the final product is better? Anyone actually playing the game please post your thoughts here about the gameplay and online gameplay. I don't really trust xbox magazines ratings. I only got the magazine subscription in the first place due to the fact that I had no way of getting high speed internet out here for awhile and at least with the xbox magazine discs you can upgrade your backward compatibility gaming. But now that I have xbox live I am definetly going to let the subscription run out. It is just a really sucky magazine. Sad

Dude, it is one of the best FPS games i ever played, and i love FPS games. In my honest opinion, it is BETTER than COD4. Something about the fighting system, the weapons systems, and even the AI sometimes, just the amount of enemies that you have to fight through is absolutely perfect.

Trust me, go get it.

I was really apprehensive at first playing it, but after 5 minutes the control system became really easy to use. The only big complaint i have about the game, well there are 2, first of all, there's no running mode, you always move at the same pace in an upright position, and secondly, the game is just not near long enough, but it is good enough to go back and replay it from the start again on a harder level, and the online gaming works really well also.

I really love it man, it was definitely one of the better games i have played in a long while.

Turning point: fall of liberty on the other hand......... STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS........EVEN IF IT'S FREE, STAY THE HELL AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This had to be one of the worst games i have seen since.........bullet witch!!!!!
(insert dramatic music here!), lol.

Anyways, just my 2 cents

Well first I must disclose that I have only played the Demo.
With that said, here are my thoughts...

The Bad.....
Lagg,..... I experienced alot of lagg on the demo, mainly in the form of bullet impacts being delayed from 1/2 second to 3 seconds, this made hitting a moving target extreamly difficult. Even if the guy was just a few feet away. The second form of lagg was when climbing a ladder, the game would realy slow down. Let me be fair and say that the demo was hosted by players and the full version has dedicated servers, I have heard little about problems with lagg other than it being said the frame rate can slow a bit when in the middle of a balls out frag party. So hopefuly this is not a problem with the full game.

Only one game mode.....There is only one game mode (Frontlines), it would be nice to have some other modes such as deathmatch.

Class upgrading....This is great for some, its not realy a bad thing but the process is just different than I had hoped for. What I was looking forward to was picking a class and over time ( many hours or days/weeks) building up a specific class character with special skills that someon else would not have because they had worked hard to becoma an expert in thier class, this would make a team game very cool because everyone would be unique. In World or warcraft you have mages, warriors etc. but I found in Frontlines you could actualy max out your experience in every class in a single round of games, then you have to start all over next game. I would have loved to see people have to work hard to move up in thier chosen class, and become thier ingame identity. but thats just me.

GOOD....
I played the demo ( with the lagg ) for hours and hours, smiling and laughing most of the time, with a little cursing here and there. The hours went by very fast. I have never had so much fun finding so many ways to mess with people in a game.
Unlike most games you can access just about everywhere in the game, you see a roof top or tower, you can probobly get up there. Snipers have so many places to climb and get into.
I played with the drone vehicles for hours. My favorite was to take a remote drone, fly arround till i found a sniper (who thought he was pretty sneeky), land on his back then detonate.
I also loved grabbing a EMP rocket launcher, climbing to a high spot and waiting for an ememy vehicle to cross into my line of view then shut his vehicle down, Not kill him, just shut his tank or chopper down, wait till he can move again then hit him again over and over till he just got pised and abandoned his vehicle.
The best time I had was a 1 v 1, I let the guy have most of the bases, except 1, I would hide out, wait for him to go to the computer and hold down X to take the base, ( you have to hold it for like 30 seconds) then I would buz him with the Drone, he would get scared and let go of x, then I would fly away, wait for him to hold X again and buz him again. if he stoped getting scared I would just blow him up so he would not loose respect for the drone.
Also had a great time with the auto turrets, and finding great places to put them, my favorite was on top of the crains structure on streets.

Rent.. For sure!
Buy, Dont know, I have to rent it first.

i would tend to agree with most of what's said here, except for the fact that i have the full game. The one thing that is definitely different is the lag issue, that has definitely been addressed, because there is no issues whatsoever in multiplayer or single player. No drop in frame rates when climbing ladders and no problem in an all out firefight.

To me it definitely has one of the highest replayability factors i have ever come across in a game.
