Good Day everyone
I bought myself a new xbox yesterday and the whole time I was searching for the 175W sticker on the side of the box, but had no luck, so I eventually just bought a new one with hdmi and it said 203W one the side of the box. But when I got home to my surprise it had a 175W power supply. So I have a theory M$ might be putting 203W stickers on all boxes now so people don't look for the falcons and they can sell old stock. Here is my idea on what you should check for to get a falcon (in order of what to do first)
I think that is the best ways to know if you have a falcon, but how do we know which manufacture dates have falcons, Well I'm going to make a list, so if you have a falcon please post the manufacture date so we can narrow the range even more, Also if you look at the side sticker and post the lot# and team this may help us find more information about the falcons
- October 9th 2007 - Pro - Lot #740 - Team:CSON (friend of mine)
- September 19th 2007 - Arcade - Lot #734 - Team:CSON (darth)
Current range for Falcons (estimate)
- October 10th 2007 and on - Best Lot #? - Best Team FDOU, others?

FH did you make that tut? Anyways as some of you may know i have
a 360 premium with a build date of 11-29-05 that recently got a RROD
as of last friday, today 1 week later my ELITE arrived and im happy to
say that it has a build date of 2-20-08!. Outside of the box it has 175W
Team FDOU and Lot 0808. So lets keep this thread alive and post
your info.
Im confused as far as
* Zephyr/Xenon - Falcon ?
* how am i going to transfer my stuff from my broken one to new elite?
i heard of a data transfer cable MS is giving away, i also heard that
we are allowed to re download our previous lincesed?
does that mean that i can just boot up the elite and recover
gamertag
re download stuff?
and if theirs any harm in grabing my 20gb from preminum
and boot it on the elite console to play my current content
and acess it?
Really if i wasn't so confused with the security and what
not i could assume everything is plug and play like pc
componets but since it has security mesurements that
are tie to mainboard or restrictions on d/l content and
the list goes on
Last question when you hit formate on the option does
it have a restore image like pc's do so you can put it back
like day one? Reason for me
asking this is because if i wait for the data cable to
arrive im missing
out those days that i dont play, so if i can play right now

Mine doesnt have the addon heatsink on the gpu but the cpu heatsink looks the same, not sure about the 3 thingys standing up tho. but it kinda looks like the Zephyr/Xenon pic. _________________________________________________________

Nope I made this tutorial. Thats really good that you got a falcon, it makes a lot less heat, and you will have to worry less about it getting a RROD. I'll add your info to the list, also does your power brick say 175w too, (i'm guessing it does, but that is the most accurate way to tell if you have a falcon or not)

Xenon - the original xbox 360 hardware
Zephyr - the second batch, has hdmi in it (what is included in elites, and early - fall 2007 premiums)
Falcon - third batch of hardware, has 65nm CPU in it meaning it produces a lot less heat and uses less power (hence the 175w power supply) Also has better heatsinks in it

I would see no harm in this as the hard drives are meant to be used as a big memory card. The only thing with this, you MIGHT (not 100% sure) be locked out of your content on any gamertag but your own, or any gamertag in general. When you transfer you shouldn't be locked out anymore and if you are I would call microsoft support 1-800-469-9269

I'm pretty sure the xbox 360 does not store an image of it hard drive so you might be out of luck if you do that, I recommend that you just don't format it.

sounds like you have a xenon or zephyr. Two questions and I'll let you know what you have haha,
No it doesnt have hdmi. and as far as the power supply goes i bought my xbox from ebay with rrod and fixed it, didnt come with any cables had to buy aftermarket power supply, its an intec and its 203 watts. _________________________________________________________
