UPDATE: Microsoft just sent out a price release detailing the new version further. They have now made the creators club free for students and teachers! Press release here http://www.xbox.com/en-US/community/news/2007/1212-xnasupportslive.htm

Microsoft will soon be releasing XNA Game Studio 2.0 its currently available in beta form. Some of the major improvements include support for Xbox Live and System Link!!! Check out the Xbox Live faq http://blogs.msdn.com/xna/archive/2007/11/16/xna-framework-networking-and-live-requirements.aspx Supports cross platform play as well.
