1. can you spoof a samsung drive? (if so is it done with a floppy or usb)

2. is the cpu key the same as the dvd key, or are they two totally different numbers?

3. when i have a 360 with a hitachi drive, and i get a new drive, do i have to spoof it to that exact rom version and everything, or do i just need to replace they key with the correct one.

4. if i have a samsung drive, and i get a new one for whatever reason, do i then just have to replace the key on the new drive with the key on the old one?

these are things i havent done yet, but just wondering as they might come up in the future.

thanks

1. Yes you can spoof a samsung.

2. Cpu key is different than the dvd key.

3. Ok lets say you have a V56 (i dont know if that is a real one because i dont have hitachi drives) and you get the f/w off of it and the f/w off of your new V78 drive. Then you need to copy the key from the V56's to the V78's f/w, then save the changed to it. Then you need to spoof the V78's f/w as a V56's, then flash it and your ready to go.

4. If you have a MS28 right now and you get another MS28 im pretty sure that you would be able to.

You need to use mtkflash to get a dump of the f/w of the samsungs. Then you open the hitachi's f/w in firmware toolbox. Then copy its drive key and close it. Then open the samsungs and copy the drive key to it and save the changes. Then you need to spoof the samsung f/w as whatever version your hitachi's is. Then you use mtkflash to flash the drive again and it will work.
