On my old xbox i used the zune program on my computer to share audio files to my xbox so i could listen while i play. It worked great on my old xbox, now on my new xbox i can only listen to about 15 sounds out of my 185. These 15 are mp3 files, while all the rest are mpa4 files. I set this up using the method in the Game informer issue of may 2007.

Now it just need to know how to change it so that i can listen to my other songs.

sorry i couldn't help you, when i fist got my 360 and had vista ultimate i just streamed from media center, but I'm back to xp pro and haven't tried to stream any music yet. I'm pretty sure if you go on the microsoft site and look around you will find a windows xp streaming application then u just set your xbox to that, that might work

yup, install tversity media server on your pc and you can then stream mp3's, divx, wmv or whatever to your xbox 360..

Here's a tutorial which may help:

How to Stream Trailers and Podcasts on Xbox 360:

Works for music too.

Well i got it to work. I had to redownload a system file that allowed the console to play unprotected AAC files...which is what 95% of my songs are in. So i downloaded it and im fine now, thanks though.
