Well to start off with, yesterday was a nightmare over at the forzamotorsport forums with a post started by a mod "Drows" reaching well over 100 posts in 10 hours. All regarding demo release date/time.
I knew it was today! Drows couldn't say and nor could Che Chou (Community Manager) until PR gave the go ahead. Anyway he hinted it was today then said he doesn't know the TIME, a few people picked up on this. No mention of date meaning today! Though people had it in there head it would come Friday so did not believe it.
Then at 100 and something pages Che got the go ahead from PR and said "The Forza 2 demo will be available on Xbox Live Marketplace at 2AM EST tonight" prior to that he had confirmed it will be today "It will be hitting today" this was later changed to PDT
Oh now I must go! it is 10am so demo time. I will post back thoughts and perhaps a video.

I jumped on those forums when 2am est hit, noticed a thread that stated 2am pdt. Its 2:24 Pdt, and still no demo. If you see it let me know. I've waited up late and long for this.
*edit* just now showed up d/l now.

I started downloading at 10:18am and it is only just at 32%
So around 2 hours later and I was playing. This is due to upgrading my internet and it taking 10days to test the highest speed I can get so i'm only getting 1mb. argh
My thoughts:
Well were do I start. I had not played Forza 1 since I got my 360 due to it being an american copy so I was unable to load it up.
First impression were very good for me, the visual, sound and overall feel. I was glad that on loading it up and taking a lap it felt the same as the original, so for those that have mastered number 1 should get no problem migrating to 2 apart from the 360s wheel (Which I will have tommorow, so more on that then )
I suprised myself really, in 3 laps I had turned of all the 3 aids. I'm no where near up to my old standard but a 1:11:xx in the 350z doesn't seem half bad considering the times on the forum thread over at forzamotorsport.net.
Once I practice up a little more I will upload a video to show you all. But really you should just download it! It is only 691mb
Thanks

I jumped on it and d/l it in short order. It was nice and small, the command and conquer demo was over a gig. I drove and checked everything I could out that it had to offer, and passed out lol. But I'm gonig to put some hours into it today.

Unfortunately I'm going to have to wait till tomorrow night till I can download it and give it a play.
Been working late recently and promised to take the wife out for a drink, mind you how work is looking at the moment I'll be lucky to be out before 8, then a 45 min drive home...... that drink is sounding better than playing Forza as i type _________________________________________________________

As a *bump* and little information.
In case people were wondering what the demo is in terms of the final game. It is the Arcade mode where damage is visuals only (hence the car running perfectly after a 200km/h collision) and the difficulty is Medium.
Now I'm off to bed and will post Pics/Videos when I get my wheel in the morning.
Enjoy it!

LoL I too was wondering what was up, I expected to see this great racing game that has graphics that I have yet to see when racing a car.
But alas the only intresting thing was the individual fans. I have to say the damage was well done though, and the sounds is nice. I was playing bumper cars the whole time. Rather enjoyed hearing the trashcans slamming into one another when I smacked a car. LoL. Not sure if I'll be sinking the money down for this title.

Ya man, it is just a demo maybe the full game will have better physics as far as the car dammage, I was doing intentional head on collisions at 100+ mph to check out the dammage, i noticed broken lights and I think glass, and badly scratched up paint but no doors coming off, fire, etc, but when I looked at the button that tells you how much damage you have nothing would show up, i think it was the left shoulder button, so im sure the demo is just in a mode that does not include the damage stuff, we will have to wait and see the full version. To bad there was now multi player on the demo.
